Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a receiving entity (RE), e.g., a user equipment or base station, receives a positioning resource beam configuration that defines a set of positioning resources, each positioning resource being transmitted by a transmission/reception point (TRP) at different times using different beams, each of the different beams having a set of beam characteristics that differs from the set of beam characteristics of another of the different beams in at least one beam characteristic. The RE performs positioning measurements on the different beams at the different times, at least based on the sets of beam characteristics, and sends positioning information to the TRP, the positioning information comprising at least some of the positioning measurements, a positioning estimate, or combinations thereof.

  • Patent number: 11895047
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) sends an indication supported combinations of sounding reference signal (SRS) resources, unsupported combinations of SRS resources, or compatible SRS resources to a base station. The base station selects one or more SRS resources for the UE from the SRS resources that are supported by the UE or are compatible for the UE. In some examples, the UE receives a configuration from the base station for multiple SRS resource sets. After configuring the UE with multiple SRS resource sets, the base station selects one of the SRS resources sets, and may indicate the selected SRS resource set to the UE. The UE transmits a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) to the base station using SRS resources from the selected SRS resource set.

  • Publication number: 20240031823
Abstract: Aspects presented herein may improve the performance and accuracy of a UE positioning based on RIS, such as when the RIS has a limited number of control voltage sets available. In one aspect, a UE obtains an indication of beam pattern information for a set of DL beams for a network entity, where the set of DL beams is associated with an RIS. The UE adjusts a first transmission angle for a set of UL beams based on the beam pattern information and measurement for the set of DL beams, where the first transmission angle for the set of UL beams is adjusted to proximately align with a second transmission angle of the set of DL beams from the RIS. The UE transmits, via the RIS, the set of UL beams to the network entity based on the adjusted first transmission angle.

  • Publication number: 20240031963
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a message indicating a time domain window (TDW) configuration including a start time of a TDW and a length of the TDW, where the TDW is a duration over which a network entity is scheduled to perform joint channel estimation. The UE may receive a timing advance (TA) command during the TDW indicating a TA value to apply to signaling. The UE may transmit the signaling in accordance with the TA value or independent of the TA value based on the UE prioritizing the TA adjustment or maintaining power consistency and phase continuity for DMRS bundling, respectively. The UE may determine whether to prioritize the TA adjustment or DMRS bundling for the joint channel estimation based on one or more parameters satisfying criteria.
