  • Publication number: 20020151378
Abstract: A golf club having a weight member provided between a club and a head thereof, wherein the weight member is optionally made of materials with high density, and has a weight substantially equal to a weight of a standard head of a conventional golf club minus the weight of the head of the golf club of the invention, whereby the weight of the head is smaller than the standard head of the conventional golf club and the whole weight of the golf club is equal to the conventional golf club, so that the twisting force applying on the head of the golf club is lessened, and the stability of the golf club is improved.

  • Publication number: 20020151375
Abstract: A golf club with high accuracy in driving a golf ball is disclosed. The golf club includes a tapered hollow shaft having a thin end and a thick end, with a weight received in the hollow shaft. A head is formed with a neck that defines a stepped hole for fixedly receiving the thin end of the shaft. Importantly, the head is made less heavy than a related standard by an amount equivalent to the weight in the hollow shaft, and so the golf club has the same gross weight as a normal club.

  • Publication number: 20020137575
Abstract: A golf club has a shaft, a connecting pin, a pin and a nut. One end of the connecting pin is securely inserted into the shaft, the other end of the connecting pin is threaded and is exposed from the shaft. The head is mounted on the shaft and has a neck with a passage for the shaft inserting into the passage in the neck. A baffle formed in the passage in the neck and has a through hole for the connecting pin extending through the through hole. The nut is screwed with the thread on the connecting pin and abuts the baffle. Consequently, the head is securely attached to the shaft with the connecting pin and the nut. With such an arrangement, the head is adjustable relative to the shaft prior to an adhesion process.

  • Patent number: 6443855
Abstract: A head of golf club having a hollow body with a first semi-phere integrally formed therein and a filling line integrally formed between the first semi-sphere and the bottom of the body portion, a face welded on a front end the body, a float received between the first semi-sphere and a second semi-sphere which is combined with the first semi-sphere by welding, and a casing welded on a back end of the body portion, whereby the center of mass of the golf club is self-optimizing, and the structure of the golf club head is simple and firm.

  • Patent number: 5788587
Abstract: A centroid-adjustable golf club head, which can enable a user to strike ball more stably and accurately, is disclosed. The centroid-adjustable golf club head includes a head body, a sphericity, a floating ball and liquid with large specific weight. The head body has anti vibration and thermoplastic elastomer disposed therein and defines a screw hole at a top thereof. The sphericity is disposed in the anti vibration and thermoplastic elastomer of the head body. The sphericity has a charging spout formed on a top thereof and aligned with the screw hole of the head body; and a elastic wafer disposed between the head body and the sphericity. The floating ball is disposed in the sphericity. The liquid with large specific weight is fed from the charging spout to the sphericity. With this arrangement, the centroid of the club head can be adjusted to an appropriate position, depending to the relative position of the liquid and the floating ball.
