  • Publication number: 20100285727
Abstract: A sander has a base, a rotating assembly, multiple abrasive assemblies, multiple driving assemblies and multiple reciprocating assemblies. The rotating assembly is rotatably mounted on the base on an axis that is parallel to a Z-axis and has a bottom end. The abrasive assemblies move linearly and reciprocatorily in a plane parallel to an X-Y plane and are rotatably mounted on the bottom end of the rotating assembly. The driving assemblies are respectively connected to and drive the abrasive assemblies to rotate. The reciprocating assemblies are mounted securely on the rotating assembly to linearly and reciprocatorily drive the abrasive assemblies in a plane parallel to the X-Y plane. A linear reciprocating direction of each abrasive assembly is opposite to that of an adjacent abrasive assembly.

  • Publication number: 20100211881
Abstract: A method for preprocessing and displaying web page, a mobile electronic device, and an operation interface thereof are provided. In the method, an interested web site address corresponding to an update rule is defined. Then, a web page source data of the interested web site address is downloaded according to the update rule. The web page source data or a data structure generated by parsing the web page source data is stored, wherein the data structure can be displayed by the browser. When the interested web site address is selected, the browser parses the web page source data or displays a web content of the interested web site address according to the data structure. By preprocessing the interested web site address concerned by users, the speed of opening the web page content thereof is increased and the efficiency of browsing web page can be significantly improved.

  • Publication number: 20100159998
Abstract: A method and system for automatically changing the operating mode of a mobile device in response to changes in positioning or the use of the device includes multiple sensors that provide information relating to the mobile device and its environment. The sensors determine positioning information, incident light intensity, and object proximity and detect the presence of a pointer device. The system monitors the sensors and applications executed by the operating system. Based on the monitoring, the system changes the operating mode of the mobile device.

  • Publication number: 20100159981
Abstract: A method and system for using an image sensor to control applications on a mobile device is disclosed. The system uses image processing to detect control gestures by the user. Control gestures may include, for example, moving a hand laterally, moving the hand closer or farther away from the camera, or opening and closing a hand. These control motions are linked to user commands to be executed by the application being controlled. The system initializes by storing a background image showing the field of view of the image sensor before any objects are present. It then detects new objects in the field of view by comparing new images to the background image. If a new object is detected, the system waits until the object is stationary in the field of view. After the object is stationary, the system detects if there is a change in the object indicating a control gesture.

  • Publication number: 20100159908
Abstract: A system for reconfiguring a mobile device based on environmental input is disclosed. The mobile device uses various components, including camera, microphone, and accelerometer, to gather data about the local environment. The system uses these components, separately or together, to determine the level of activity of the local environment. If the system determines that there is little activity in the local environment for a specified period of time, it enters low presence mode. In low presence mode, the system reconfigures the mobile device. The reconfiguration may include pausing or stopping applications, changing the device's volume settings, redirecting incoming telephone calls or text messages, or deactivating individual hardware components.

  • Patent number: 6890595
Abstract: A method for coating low viscosity materials onto a wafer to form a uniform film. After a wafer is rotated at a first rotation speed, coating solution is dispensed onto the wafer. The wafer is decelerated to a second rotation speed at a first deceleration rate to spread the coating solution. Next, the wafer is slowly decelerated to a third rotation speed at a second deceleration rate considerably lower than the first deceleration rate, so the coating solution reflows to the center of the wafer. The wafer is then quickly accelerated to a fourth rotation speed at a third acceleration rate larger than the first deceleration rate to spread the coating solution again.
