  • Publication number: 20040124978
Abstract: A device to enable identification to a wireless security and alerting system which includes a transmitter circuit and a receiver circuit is provided. Each transmitter is provided with at least two buttons. A visitor uses a main push button. At least one discreet button is used discreetly by a member, such that the receiver will chime differently, thus allowing the residents within the hearing range to distinguish between a visitor from a member. The device also includes a low battery warning arrangement. An example allows a plurality of locations in a building to be equipped with such transmitters, which are connected to at least one receiver. An application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) or the like device is employed in a transmitter circuit, and a microprocessor or the like device in a receiver circuit.

  • Patent number: 6653635
Abstract: A detector with a wide detecting range having a module of electrical circuit boards including an infrared radiation detector element; a stacked-up multifaceted arc lens assembly installed in front of the detector element which is located at the focus of the arc lens assembly to receive the focused infrared rays; and a single deflector plate conjoined to the detector element and mounted on the electrical circuit board, the signal deflector plate having symmetrically constructed reflecting units. Each reflecting unit is composed of a least two reflection planes. The invention is capable of covering detection blind zone exceeding 60 degrees both in right and left directions of the central axis of the detector element, thereby achieving a wide detecting range of over 200 degrees. A method of extending the detecting range is also taught.

  • Publication number: 20020115344
Abstract: This invention provides a connector construction, a connector to be fitted to a mobile phone. The connector comprises an insulating casing that has a welded side and a matching side, a terminal accommodating chamber on the insulating casing, a conductive terminal that has a welded part and a matching part inside the accommodating chamber, and an anti-leak packing fitted to the outside rim of the matching side of the insulating casing; such characteristics are designed that, when the connector is welded to the main board of a mobile phone and assembled as one unit, the anti-leak packing obstructing between the connector and the housing of the mobile phone, aided by the obstruction performance provided by the matching part and welded part of the monobloc formed conductive terminal, will prevent the mobile phone from water seepage.

  • Publication number: 20020069146
Abstract: A method and system of processing referral fees for accessing to a server computer via media player modules. First, a media player module provided by an organization contains a default web page previously defined by the organization. This default web page further contains at least one dynamic links to other web servers that provide relevant products. When one of the dynamic links is chosen, an access command containing a string data representative of the organization is issued to setup the network connection. The linked web server can pay the referral fees to the organization determined by the string if the introduced users complete some transactions.

  • Patent number: 6364687
Abstract: A cable connector that includes an insulating casing, a plurality of terminals installed on the insulating casing, an obstruction unit covering the insulating casing, and an outer casing to accommodate the obstruction unit and the insulating casing. The cable connector includes on the obstruction unit a supporting arm that snaps into engagement with a matching connector. On the supporting arm is a check part that contacts the insulating casing of the cable connector. Also on the supporting arm is an activating part with a vertical height higher than that of the check part. Corresponding to the activating part is a pressing unit that drives the activating part downward when depressed, thereby moving the supporting arm down to release the cable connector.

  • Patent number: 4768020
Abstract: A hot body activates, such as by a person or a car moving into an area scanned through a lens by a passive infrared detector, a light control system having an adjustable length turn on duration for each hot body intrusion turn on cycle. The light control system also includes a photocell deactivation sensor that is in a daylight deactivation circuit for the light control system with the light sensing photocell positioned behind a multifaceted scan zone lens, along with the infrared detector. A manually switch activated circuit is also provided with the light control system for an emergency blinking light mode of operation as an alarm.
