Abstract: A card tray ejection mechanism for an electronic device, which includes a first elongated member rotatably mounted to the base, a second elongated member, and a driving member. The first elongated member includes a first end portion resisting against a side of the tray, a second end portion opposite to the first end portion and a pivoting rod located between the first and second end portions. The second elongated member is rotatably connected to the second end portion. The driving member drives the second elongated member to move longitudinally. When the second elongated member is driven to move longitudinally by the driving member, the first elongated member is driven to rotate around the pivoting rod by the second elongated member, and the card tray is ejected. An electronic device using the card tray ejection mechanism is also provided.

The touch device includes a display unit, first infrared receivers, first infrared emitters, second infrared receivers, second infrared emitters, a storage unit, and motors. The first infrared receivers and the first infrared emitters are arranged on a first side of the display unit, and the second infrared receivers and the second infrared emitters are arranged on a second side of the display unit. The storage unit stores a table recording a relationship between identification and set of coordinates of the infrared receivers. The method includes: controlling motors to drive infrared emitters and infrared receivers to rotate; determining whether electrical signals comprising the identification of one first infrared receiver and one second infrared receiver are simultaneously received; if yes, determining the set of coordinates of the touch spot; determining an icon and determining the corresponding function corresponding to the touch spot.

Abstract: An electronic device capable of detecting ultraviolent radiation and a method thereof are provided. The device includes a camera, a voltage-sensitive optical medium, a control switch, and a processor. When the electronic device enters an ultraviolent radiation detecting mode, the camera captures a first image. The processor controls the control switch to create an electrical potential across the optical medium and cause it to become darker after the camera captures the first image. The camera captures a second image after the control switch has allowed an electrical potential for a first preset time interval. The processor acquires reads the respective brightness of the first image and the second image, determines any difference, and determines and outputs the level of intensity of the ultraviolent radiation intensity by reference to a table of differences.

Abstract: An exemplary electronic device is connected with an earphone. The earphone includes a first storage unit storing information as to functions of the earphone. The electronic device includes a second storage unit storing a function information table recording information as to user-controllable functions of the electronic device, function units corresponding to the user-controllable functions, an identifying module, and a control module. The identifying module retrieves the information as to functions stored in the first storage unit, and determines whether one or more of the controllable functions of the electronic device are controllable by the earphone. The control module activates all of the function units corresponding to the controllable functions of the electronic device which are controllable by the earphone, and controls one or more of the activated function units according to one or more control signals transmitted from the earphone to the electronic device. A related method is also provided.

Abstract: An electronic accessory for an electronic device includes an audio processing circuit. The audio processing circuit includes a first switch circuit, an echo cancellation circuit and an amplification circuit. The echo cancellation circuit removes echoes from a first voice signal from a user in a call and a second voice signal from a caller, outputs the first voice signal to the electronic device via the first switch circuit, and outputs the second voice signal to the amplification circuit. The amplification circuit amplifies the second voice signal. The amplification circuit further directly receives and amplifies a third voice signal from multimedia content stored in the electronic device via the first switch circuit.

Abstract: A temperature sensing system used to test the temperature of a surface of a to-be-tested object includes an image capturing unit to capture an image of a base supporting the to-be-tested object. A host obtains and displays the captured image, and maps the image to a coordinate system. Each point of the image corresponds to a coordinate of the coordinate system. The host further determines the coordinate of a selected point of the displayed image. A temperature sensing unit senses the temperature of the surface of the to-be-tested object according to the coordinate of the selected point of the displayed image. A method for sensing the temperature of surface of a to-be-tested object is also provided.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a detecting unit, a proximity sensor and an unlocking unit. The detecting unit is used for detecting whether the electronic device is in a standby state, and generating a first signal when it is detected that the electronic device is in the standby state. The proximity sensor is used for sensing whether a person is proximate to the electronic device, and generates a second signal when it is determined the person is proximate to the electronic device. The unlocking unit is used for unlocking the electronic device when the first and second signals are generated within the same period of time.

Abstract: An optical device for rearranging wavelength channels in an optical network is disclosed. The optical device has a wavelength selective coupler having one input port and a plurality of output ports coupled to a plurality of input ports of an optical grating demultiplexor such as an arrayed waveguide grating. The wavelength channels in each of the input ports are dispersed by the demultiplexor and are directed to a plurality of output ports of the optical grating demultiplexor. As a result, at least one wavelength channel at each of the input ports of the optical grating demultiplexor is coupled into a common output port. The optical device is useful in passive optical networks wherein a same demultiplexor is used for simultaneous multiplexing and demultiplexing of wavelength channels.

The second processing unit transmits the password to the main body when the second processing unit detects that the earphone plug is inserted into the earphone socket. The first processing unit unlocks the main body if the password received from the earphone matches a predetermined condition.

Abstract: An audio player includes a control module and an audio interface, wherein the audio interface includes a microphone pin, a ground pin respectively connected to corresponding pins of an earphone when the earphone is connected to the player through the audio interface. The control module is used for detecting a change in a resistance value between the microphone pin and the ground pin, and powers off the audio player when detecting the earphone is entered into an idle state according to the detected change in the resistance value that is a change from a first resistance value to a second resistance value. The present disclosure also provides an audio player system using the audio player, and a method.

The display assembly includes a display and a transparent plate provided forward of the display. The transparent plate is larger in outer dimension than the display and has a flange portion extending outward with respect to an outer edge of the display. A seal member is interposed between the flange portion and an outer peripheral portion of the housing. When the housing and the front frame are fastened to each other, a front surface of the flange portion of the transparent plate is brought into pressure contact with a rear surface of the front frame, and the seal member is sandwiched between the front frame and the housing with a pressure applied thereto.
