An ultrasound image is then generated based on the minimized image data.

A frame elevation angle of the current video frame is determined. The orientation position parameter of the HMD is calibrated according to the frame elevation angle, such that the HMD displays a next video frame generated based on the calibrated orientation position parameter.

The playback device may also be the control device. The playback advice may be a network-enabled speaker.     Abstract: An ultrasonic diagnostic imaging system and method translates an aperture across an array transducer which is less that the size of the array. At each aperture location a transmit beam is focused above, or alternatively below, the array and a region of interest being scanned from the aperture location, resulting in broad insonification of the region of interest. At the lateral ends of the array the aperture is no longer translated but the focal point of the transmit beam is translated from the same aperture position, preferably with tilting of the beam direction. Multiple receive beams are processed in response to each transmit event and the overlapping receive beams and echo locations are spatially combined to produce synthetic transmit focusing over the center of the image field and noise reduction by spatial compounding at the lateral ends of the image field.

A target signal is processed using DNN (Deep Neural Network), where the target signal provided to DNN input corresponds to the reconstructed residual, output from the prediction process, the reconstruction process, one or more filtering processes, or a combination of them. The output data from DNN output is provided for the encoding process or the decoding process. The DNN can be used to restore pixel values of the target signal or to predict a sign of one or more residual pixels between the target signal and an original signal. An absolute value of one or more residual pixels can be signalled in the video bitstream and used with the sign to reduce residual error of the target signal.

If the pulse focus is to be within the extended dead-tissue zone, the pulse may be produced with a mechanical index (MI), a thermal index (TI), and/or a spatial-peak-temporal-average intensity (IspTA) that exceeds respectively 1.9, 6.0 and 720 milliwatts per square centimeter. The imaging zone may be definable interactively to dynamically trigger the deciding and the producing, with push pulse settings being dynamically derived automatically. A display of multiple push pulse sites allows user manipulation of spatial definition indicia to dynamically control displacement tracking.

Example systems can include an ultrasound transducer and one or more processors. Using the system components, mean flow velocity magnitude and acceleration can be determined within a target region during an acquisition phase, which may include a cardiac cycle. One or more adjusted flow imaging parameters, such as adjusted ensemble length, temporal smoothing filter length and/or step size, can be determined based on the acquired flow measurements to increase the signal quality of newly acquired ultrasound echo signals. The adjusted flow imaging parameters can then be applied by the ultrasound transducer during a second acquisition phase.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus of motion compensation using the bi-directional optical flow (BIO) techniques are disclosed. According to one method of the present invention, the BIO process is applied to encode or decode bi-directional current block in Merge mode only or in AMVP (advanced motion vector prediction) mode only. According to another method, the BIO process conditionally to encode or decode the current block depending on a jointly-coded flag if the current block is coded using a bi-prediction mode. According to yet another method, x-offset value vx and y-offset value vy for the current block are added to the current motion vector to form a final motion vector. The final motion vector is then used as a reference motion vector for following blocks. In still yet another method, the BIO process is applied to the chroma component.
