    Abstract: A fugitive gas detection system includes an inertial measurement assembly that measures a change in position of the inlet of a gas analyzer and applies a time slip to concentration data detected by an analyzer to generate a time series of the concentration of the gas in three-dimensional space. Applying statistical methods, the relative location of the source of the fugitive gas can be established from the time series. Additionally, in some embodiments, the data may be interpolated to establish a map of a plume of the fugitive gas.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a temperature distribution determination apparatus for determining a temperature distribution within an object (20), while an energy application element (2) applies energy to the object, especially while an ablation procedure for ablating a tumor within an organ is performed. A time-dependent first ultrasound signal is generated for an ultrasound measurement region within the object and a temperature distribution within the object is determined based on the generated time-dependent first ultrasound signal and based on a position of the energy application element (2) relative to the ultrasound measurement region tracked over time. This can ensure that always the correct position of the energy application element, which may be regarded as being a heat source, is considered, even if the energy application element moves, for instance, due to a movement of the object. This can lead to a more accurate determination of the temperature distribution.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for Adaptive Loop Filter (ALF) processing of reconstructed video are disclosed. According to one method, clipping values for the ALF processing are determined depending on a bit depth of a center reconstructed pixel. A current ALF output for the current block is derived, where the current ALF output comprises a weighted sum of clipped differences of original differences and each of the original differences is calculated between a first reconstructed pixel at a non-center filter location and the center reconstructed pixel, and each of the original differences is clipped according to a corresponding clipping value to form one clipped difference. In another method, a target clipping value is always signaled at an encoder side or parsed at a decoder side even if the target clipping value is zero. In another method, the clipping values are encoded or decoded using a fixed-length code.
