Abstract: An apparatus includes an imaging probe and is configured for dynamically arranging presentation of visual feedback for guiding manual adjustment, via the probe, of a location, and orientation, associated with the probe. The arranging is selectively based on comparisons between fields of view of the probe and respective results of segmenting image data acquired via the probe. In an embodiment, the feedback does not include a grayscale depiction of the image data. Coordinate system transformations corresponding to respective comparisons may be computed. The selecting may be based upon and dynamically responsive to content of imaging being dynamically acquired via the probe.

  • Patent number: 10931974
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for video coding using ringing smoothing filter (RSF) are disclosed. According to one method, ringing smoothing filter (RSF) is applied to the reconstructed residuals to form smoothed reconstructed residuals or applied to an in-loop-filtered reconstructed block to form a smoothed-filtered reconstructed block for the current block, where the RSF corresponds to an edge-preserving filter. The ringing smoothing filter (RSF) may correspond to a bilateral filter. According to another method, adaptive RSF is derived based on information comprising Intra prediction mode or Inter prediction mode. In yet another method, whether to apply ringing smoothing filter (RSF) to a current block in the current image is determined based on one or more control flags. If the control flag(s) indicates the RSF being on for the current block, the RSF is applied to the current block.

  • Publication number: 20210027984
Abstract: This disclosure is directed to solutions of detecting and classifying wafer defects using machine learning techniques. The solutions take only one coarse resolution digital microscope image of a target wafer, and use machine learning techniques to process the coarse SEM image to review and classify a defect on the target wafer. Because only one coarse SEM image of the wafer is needed, the defect review and classification throughput and efficiency are improved. Further, the techniques are not distractive and may be integrated with other defect detecting and classification techniques.

  • Patent number: 10904580
Abstract: Processing methods and apparatuses for video data of a color component comprise receiving input data associated with a current coding block (CB) in a current slice, where the video data is partitioned into multiple CBs according to a partitioning method. A Quantization Parameter (QP) minimum block area or a depth flag is determined and an area of the current CB according to a width and a height or a combined depth of the current CB is calculated and compared with the QP minimum block area or the depth flag. Signaling of QP information for the current CB is conditioned by the comparing result. The QP information for the current CB is used to quantize a residual signal of the current CB or recovering a quantized residual signal of the current CB.

Abstract: An angle of view calibration method, a virtual reality display system and a computing apparatus are provided. Whether a Head-Mounted-Display (HMD) is worn on the head of a user is detected by a wearing sensor. A current video frame displayed by the HMD is captured in response to the HMD being worn on the head of the user, wherein the current video frame is generated based on an orientation position parameter of the HMD. A frame elevation angle of the current video frame is determined. The orientation position parameter of the HMD is calibrated according to the frame elevation angle, such that the HMD displays a next video frame generated based on the calibrated orientation position parameter.
