  • Patent number: 5711421
Abstract: A spray gun includes a panel having a number of openings for engaging with a number of elements which are coupled to the panel by a number of studs. The elements may be disengaged from the panel by braking the studs for allowing the elements to be assembled into the spray gun. The elements are secured to the panel for allowing the elements and the panel to be easily displayed. The elements may be easily seen by the user and may be easily assembled together by the users themselves.

  • Patent number: 5661428
Abstract: A frequency adjustable, zero temperature coefficient referencing ring oscillator circuit includes a plurality of inverter stages each having a switching circuit that produces the oscillating output signal for the ring oscillator circuit and a control circuit that controls the switching circuit to establish the frequency of the output signal, the control circuit including field-effect transistors which are operated as output resistance controllable devices and which have their operating points, and thus their output resistances, established by a reference voltage that is produced by a precision reference voltage generating circuit so that the operating frequency of the ring oscillator circuit can be set by adjusting the value of the reference signals produced by the precision reference signal generating circuit and is maintained at the setpoint value because the precision reference voltage generating circuit operates independently of variations in temperature and/or the power supply voltage.

  • Patent number: 5599658
Abstract: A highly useful photographic film base comprises a miscible blend of poly(ethylene naphthalate) and a poly(ether imide) in specified proportions. Photographic elements prepared with this film base have a lesser tendency to take core-set and post process curl than do elements prepared with poly(ethylene naphthalate) film base.

  • Patent number: 5290997
Abstract: A rotary stove for warming food items being served at a table has a tray mounted on a base for rotation about a vertical axis and includes a central protrusion supporting a hot plate surrounded by a plurality of peripheral vessels removably seated in the tray. The tray has a first electric heater in contact with the hot plate and a plurality of second electric heaters each contacting respective ones of the removable vessels. The heaters are connected to a power supply by cooperating slip rings and brushes on the tray and base. A pot may be placed on the hot plate to be heated and different foods placed in the vessels for warming may be conveniently chosen by rotation of the tray. Alternatively, the plurality of removable vessels may be replaced by a single annular vessel in contact with the second heaters.

  • Patent number: 5208610
Abstract: The carriage is configured for interchangeably holding pens of different sizes at the same position relative to a circuit that is mounted to the carriage. In a preferred embodiment, a black-ink pen or a relatively large color-ink pen may be carried by the carriage. The size of the carriage opening into which the pen is inserted is reduced by a spacer mechanism to accommodate the smaller pen, which spacer mechanism is retracted from the opening upon insertion of the larger pen.

  • Patent number: 5155497
Abstract: The service station provides components for wiping and capping the orifice plate of an ink-jet pen that is installed in a printer that can carry more than one pen-type. Certain service station components are dedicated for use with only one type of pen and other components are dedicated for use with another type of pen, thereby avoiding ink contamination that may occur, where, for example, a single wiper is used to wipe pens of both type.

  • Patent number: 5016625
Abstract: A full head respirator to filter the air of smoke and fumes, that includes an infrastructure capable of fitting over a human head and adaptable to all sizes and shapes of wearers. The infrastructure is formed by a plurality of intersecting air tubes. The respirator has a covering made of flexible flame-resistant material that is adapted to envelop the human head and neck, mounted on the infrastructure and secured thereto. The covering has a transparent eyepiece, and filter means. The respirator has a mechanism for generating a foam to fill the air tubes of the infrastructure, and thereby fit them about the head of a wearer, and fastening mechanisms to secure the respirator on the head of the wearer.

  • Patent number: 4503691
Abstract: A combination lock of the type which may be used with attache cases and the like. The combination is changeable by actuating the same element which unlatches the lock. A latch element is provided which is movable between latched and unlatched positions. A shaft is coupled to the latch element and a plurality of sleeves are rotatably mounted on the shaft. A plurality of dials are, in turn, rotatably mounted on the sleeves and means are provided for selectively engaging the dials with their associated sleeves. A manual actuator is provided for manually moving the shaft and latch element to the unlatched position and for concurrently disengaging the engaging means when the dials are set on combination. When the dials are off combination, the manually actuating means is inhibited from such movement.

  • Patent number: 4276348
Abstract: Polyethylene yarns having tenacities of at least 12 grams per denier are produced at commercially feasible spinning speeds by a process in which a high density polyethylene having a M.sub.n of at least 20,000 and a M.sub.w of less than 125,000 is extruded through a high temperature spinneret (220.degree.-335.degree. C.) to form yarns which are hot-drawn at a temperature between about 115.degree. and 132.degree. C. The yarns produced by this process are particularly useful as industrial cordage.
