Abstract: The present invention is a novel and improved method for monitoring the real time loading condition in a CDMA wireless communication system. The level of the power control signal is obtained by monitoring, in real time, at the base station the forward link CDMA channel, comparing this measurement to the previously obtained level, and displaying the level of the power control signal as a line which can consist of two parts. The first part can be a solid line the length of which represents the level of the power control signal in real time and the second part can be a dotted line whose length increases slowly and decreases rapidly to indicate that the level of the power control signal is rising. Conversely, a rapid increase and a slow decrease of the length of the dotted line indicates that the level of the power control signal is falling. Color coding can be used to indicate that the level of the power control signal is at or outside an optimum operating range.

Abstract: A solar-powered transmission device includes a casing, a cover, a drive unit, and a solar collecting panel. The casing is formed with a hole unit. The cover cooperates with the casing so as to confine a component receiving space, and has a transparent portion that permits entry of light into the component receiving space. The drive unit is mounted in the component receiving space, and includes a motor, a speed-reduction gear set coupled to and driven rotatably by the motor, and an output shaft unit coupled to and driven rotatably by the speed-reduction gear set. The output shaft unit extends through the hole unit in the casing. The solar collecting panel is disposed in the component receiving space and is coupled electrically to the motor.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus is provided for monitoring and adjusting a power level of a transmitting component. The method comprises receiving a request from a remote unit to provide a power level associated with a transmitting component, wherein the request is transmitted over a communications protocol. The method includes measuring a power level of a signal provided by the transmitting component in response to receiving the request from the remote unit, and providing the measured power level to the remote unit over the communications protocol.

Abstract: A method for software installation and pre-setup, the installation comprising of downloading image files to a target computer during manufacture, a partition image file being used for partitioning the target computer's storage device into a first, a second and a third partition; boot-up files are stored in the third partition and at least one operating system (OS) image file is stored in the second partition. The method of pre-setup comprises executing the boot-up files when a user powers on the computer for a first time, whereupon an OS selection frame is presented. Upon user OS selection, the computer merges the first and second partitions then explodes the appropriate OS image file into the resulting merged partition. The boot-up files remaining in the third partition are executed during a first reboot, subsequently, the third partition is hidden and the OS in the merged partition executed during a second reboot.

The casing confines a water compartment, and is formed with a water inlet for admitting pressurized water into the water compartment, and a water outlet for discharging the pressurized water from the water compartment. The rotor is mounted rotatably in the water compartment, and is driven rotatably by flow of the pressurized water from the water inlet through the water outlet. The primary drive shaft is coupled to and is co-rotatable with the rotor. The speed-reduction gear set is coupled to and is driven rotatably by the primary drive shaft. The output drive unit is coupled to and is driven rotatably by the speed-reduction gear set.

Abstract: A system for operating system recovery is proposed and includes a data storage device having a first partition, a second partition and a third partition including bootable files, and a BIOS (basic input/output system) having a recovery function. When the recovery entry is accessed, the BIOS is enabled to boot the computer system to the third partition. After the computer system is booted, an OS image file in the second partition is unpacked into an integral copy of the operating system. The integral copy of operating system and a patch file in the second partition are copied to the first partition. Then, the third partition is set hidden and inactive, and the first partition is set active, and the computer system is rebooted to the first partition. The patch file is executed to patch the operating system in the first partition after the computer system is rebooted to the first partition.

Abstract: The invention provides a PDA (personal digital assistant) component whose pen slot in which the stylus is placed is formed by the concealed slot inside the PDA body and the passage inside the signal emitting/receiving device. The PDA component includes: a PDA body with a concealed slot, a signal emitting/receiving device with a passage, and a stylus. Of which, the concealed slot has an opening on the upper surface of the PDA body; the signal emitting/receiving device situated on the upper surface of the PDA body performs wireless communication functions while the passage forms a pen slot together with the concealed slot situated underneath; the stylus matches with the pen slot and is placed therein.

Abstract: In the method and apparatus troubleshooting lost call location, a connect message is received from a mobile terminal to establish a call, which is continuously monitored. If a parameter associated with the continuously monitored call falls below a threshold, information associated with the location of the mobile terminal is provided. If the call terminates normally, before the parameter falls below threshold, information associated with the call is discarded.

Abstract: The method of software installation comprises the following. Each of computers downloads a partition image file to a storage device of the computer from a server via a network. The partition image file is used for partitioning the storage device into a first partition, a second partition, and a third partition. The computer stores boot-up files in the third partition for setting the third partition as an active partition. Each of the computers downloads at least one operating system image file to the second partition of the storage device of the computer from the server via network. The method of software pre-setup comprises the following steps. When a user powers on the computer for the first time, the computer executes the boot-up files in the third partition for booting. The computer polls the filenames of the OS image files to generate a selection frame, which comprises several options, and each of the options corresponds to a specific OS.
