Abstract: Methods for forming a NiO film on a substrate for use with a resistive switching memory device are presenting including: preparing a nickel ion solution; receiving the substrate, where the substrate includes a bottom electrode, the bottom electrode utilized as a cathode; forming a Ni(OH)2 film on the substrate, where the forming the Ni(OH)2 occurs at the cathode; and annealing the Ni(OH)2 film to form the NiO film, where the NiO film forms a portion of a resistive switching memory element. In some embodiments, methods further include forming a top electrode on the NiO film and before the forming the Ni(OH)2 film, pre-treating the substrate. In some embodiments, methods are presented where the bottom electrode and the top electrode are a conductive material such as: Ni, Pt, Ir, Ti, Al, Cu, Co, Ru, Rh, a Ni alloy, a Pt alloy, an Ir alloy, a Ti alloy, an Al alloy, a Cu alloy, a Co alloy, a Ru alloy, and an Rh alloy.

Abstract: Resistive switching memory elements are provided that may contain electroless metal electrodes and metal oxides formed from electroless metal. The resistive switching memory elements may exhibit bistability and may be used in high-density multi-layer memory integrated circuits. Electroless conductive materials such as nickel-based materials may be selectively deposited on a conductor on a silicon wafer or other suitable substrate. The electroless conductive materials can be oxidized to form a metal oxide for a resistive switching memory element. Multiple layers of conductive materials can be deposited each of which has a different oxidation rate. The differential oxidization rates of the conductive layers can be exploited to ensure that metal oxide layers of desired thicknesses are formed during fabrication.

First, test a lens under test to obtain a testing characteristic value of the lens under test for a first object distance. Second, provide a correction datum. Third, calculate a simulated characteristic value for a second object distance according to the testing characteristic value and the correction datum.

Abstract: An electronic device includes an image capture module, an image processing module, and a display module. The image capture module includes a first capture unit for capturing a first image and a second capture unit for capturing a second image. The first capture unit is simultaneously enabled with the second capture unit. The second image has an overlapping view with the first image. The image processing module includes an image cropping unit and an image stitching unit. The image cropping unit crops the first image to keep a first section of the first image, and further crops the second image to keep a second section of the second image. The first section is different from the second section. The image stitching unit stitches the first section and the second section into an integrated image. The display module displays the integrated image.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal panel switchable between normal mode for displaying images and standby mode, a control circuit coupled to the liquid crystal panel controlling the liquid crystal panel mode according to video signals transmitted thereto, and a power board providing a power voltage to the control circuit. When the liquid crystal panel is in a standby mode, the control circuit outputs a corresponding feedback signal to interrupt power voltage supply from the power board to the control circuit.

Abstract: A method of regioselectively preparing a pyridine-containing compound is provided. In particular embodiments, the method includes reacting halogen-functionalized pyridal[2,1,3]thiadiazole with organotin-functionalized cyclopenta[2,1-b:3,4-b?]dithiophene or organotin-functionalized indaceno[1,2-b:5,6-b?]dithiophene. Also provided is a method of preparing a polymer. The method includes regioselectively preparing a monomer that includes a pyridal[2,1,3]thiadiazole unit; and reacting the monomer to produce a polymer that includes a regioregular conjugated backbone section, wherein the section includes a repeat unit containing the pyridal[2,1,3]thiadiazole unit. A polymer that includes a regioregular conjugated backbone section, and electronic devices that include the polymer, are also provided.

The third portion of the patterned light beam is focused onto the third image sensor by the collimator; the distance between the first image sensor and the lens device is smaller than the distance between the second image sensor and the lens device.

In one embodiment, a database of auction postings is automatically searched based upon at least one search criteria to produce at least one new search result. Abstract: A lighting apparatus comprises at least one LED module, a light frame, a base plate, a battery, a cover plate, at least two end caps, and a fixture assembly. The base plate is received in the light frame. The LED module is mounted on the base plate. The battery is received in the light frame and electrically connected to the base plate. The cover plate is deposited on a bottom portion of the light frame. The end caps are assembled to two ends of the light frame. The fixture assembly serves to fix the lighting apparatus to a wall or a ceiling. When the lighting apparatus loses the external power supply, by operating a power switch connected to the lighting apparatus, the battery can be controlled to take over powering, with power stored therein, the LED module on the base plate to illuminate for a predetermined time period.

The image processing module uses a first group of parameters to process the scanned image when receiving the first signal. Abstract: A film scanner includes a specular surface for changing a path and a direction of lights for focusing an image, which is filmed on a film, on a sensing module. With such a disposition, a height of the film scanner is shortened, and a volume of the film scanner is shortened as a result. The film scanner is also burnt with a driver program on a circuit board, which implements or carries an image processing module, so that the film scanner is capable of scanning the image filmed on the film without being connected to a computer, and conveniences in usage and carry of the film scanner is introduced as a result.
