When coupling a plurality of pairs of hairdressing scissors together, the protrusion of a pair of hairdressing scissors is engaged in the recess of another pair of hairdressing scissors. The protrusion moves toward and presses the retaining member, so that the retaining member will overcome the elastic force of the elastic member and retract into the through hole.

    Abstract: A buffering member retaining device for a pair of hairdressing scissors, comprises: a first handle portion, a second handle portion pivotally connected to the first handle portion, and a buffering member is affixed to one of the first and second handle portions by a retaining member. When the first and second handle portions move close to each other, the buffering member will press against the abutment surface of another one of the first and second handle portions, thus preventing the two handle portions from impacting each other and causing noise. The retaining member is partially embedded in the buffering member and partially protrudes out of the buffering member. The buffering member is defined with a slot through which a screwdriver is allowed to rotate the retaining member.

The exposed portion of each magnetic member of the pair of hairdressing scissors is adapted to be securely engaged with a second groove of a respective handle of another pair of similarly constructed hairdressing scissors. In another embodiment, each cutting member includes a handle having a through-hole extending from a first side thereof through a second side thereof, and a magnetic member is mounted in each through-hole.

The pivotal device includes a screw and a nut. The screw includes a threaded shank and an enlarged head. The nut includes a non-circular shank and an enlarged head, with a screw hole extending through the non-circular shank and the enlarged head of the nut. The nut is received in the countersink of one of the scissor elements, with the non-circular shank of the nut extending into a non-circular countersink of the other scissor element. The threaded shank of the screw is threadedly engaged with the screw hole of the nut. Thus, the contact area between the screw and the pivotable scissor elements is small.
