The front-end correlator uses a sampler to compress the sensing data, enabling a low-speed and energy efficient digital backend while delivering a high range resolution. The radar may be implemented as a system on chip (SoC) with a total power consumption of a few hundred milliwatts (mW), a surface area of less than four mm2 with less than ten percent of the total power corresponding to the analog baseband and digital back-end.
