Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system that processes data. During operation, the system obtains a set of features for a customer of an educational technology product. Next, the system uses an account type of the customer to select a statistical model from a set of statistical models for evaluating potential customer spending with the educational technology product. The system then uses the statistical model and the features to predict a potential spending of the customer with the educational technology product. Finally, the system outputs the potential spending for use in managing sales activity with the customer.

Abstract: A method of forming an electrode for an electrochemical device includes mixing at least a first amount of a catalyst and a second amount of an ionomer or an uncharged polymer to form a liquid mixture; delivering the liquid mixture into a metallic needle having a needle tip; applying a voltage between the needle tip and a collector substrate positioned at a distance from the needle tip; and extruding the liquid mixture from the needle tip at a flow rate such as to generate electrospun fibers and deposit the generated fibers on the collector substrate to form a mat comprising a porous network of fibers, where each fiber has a plurality of particles of the catalyst distributed thereon.

Abstract: The disclosure provides for compositions and methods for the preservation of meat substitutes containing plant heme protein. In particular, small molecules that can fit in the unique heme pocket of plant heme proteins are provided to stabilize and preserve meat substitutes the products.

Abstract: In one aspect, a method of forming an electrode for an electrochemical device is disclosed. Abstract: Techniques are provided for determining a propensity or likelihood that a person in a social network will perform a particular action. A statistical model that is trained based on multiple features of each member in a first plurality of members of a social network is stored. The multiple features include a subset pertaining to profile information provided by the first plurality of members and stored in a plurality of profiles of the first plurality of members. For each member of a second plurality of members of the social network, multiple feature values that correspond to the plurality of features are identified, the statistical model is used to generate a score for the member. The score indicates a likelihood that the member will perform the particular action.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for displaying information about entities in a social network. An analysis of profiles of multiple representatives is performed. Each representative is registered with a social network provider and represents an organization from multiple organizations. Based on the analysis, the organizations are ranked. Data about a subset of the organizations is presented, based on the ranking, through a user interface. A user selects an indicator that is associated with a particular organization of the multiple organizations. In response to the input, a subset of the representatives is identified. One or more scores that were generated for a particular representative in the subset are determined. Data about the subset of the representatives is caused to be presented through the user interface. The data identifies the one or more scores and associates the one or more scores with the particular representative.

Abstract: In one aspect of the present invention, a fiber mat is provided. The fiber mat includes at least one type of fibers, which includes one or more polymers. The fiber mat may be a single fiber mat which includes one type of fibers, or may be a dual or multi fiber mat which includes multiple types of fibers. The fibers may further include particles of a catalyst. The fiber mat may be used to form an electrode or a membrane. In a further aspect, a fuel cell membrane-electrode-assembly has an anode electrode, a cathode electrode, and a membrane disposed between the anode electrode and the cathode electrode. Each of the anode electrode, the cathode electrode and the membrane may be formed with a fiber mat.

Abstract: An anti-fatigue composition consisting of 20(S)-protopanoxadiol and lycium barbarum polysaccharide. Experiments prove that the composition exhibits a significant anti-fatigue effect. In comparison with the effect attained by the single use of lycium barbarum polysaccharide or 20(S)-protopanoxadiol, the combined use of 20(S)-protopanoxadiol and lycium barbarum polysaccharide exerts an obvious synergistic effect.

Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are methods, systems, and machine-readable mediums which determine the flow of skills from one entity to another over a given time period and display those in an advanced graphical user interface display. Example entities for which skill flow may be determined may include geographical locations, companies, universities, and the like. The social networking system may determine skill flows based upon the skills associated with members who report changes in employment.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for assigning members of a group to multiple target entities. A social proximity score is generated that reflects a measure of social relatedness between a group member and a target entity. Generated social proximity scores and one or more constraints are specified or referenced by a program. The program seeks to maximize social proximity scores in light of the one or more constraints. A solver executes the program to generate a result that assigns each target entity to at least one (or no more than one) group member.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method and an apparatus for displaying online transaction information. Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system that processes data. During operation, the system obtains a set of data associated with social selling practices for a sales entity on a social network. Next, the system calculates, on a processor, a set of metrics from the data, wherein the metrics are associated with creating a professional brand, finding prospects, engaging with insights, and building relationships. The system then aggregates the metrics into a social selling index (SSI) score for the sales entity. Finally, the system provides the SSI score for use in managing the social selling practices of the sales entity.

Abstract: A method and system to determine member profiles for off-line targeting is described. An example system comprises an access module to access a member profile in the on-line social network system, a category score module, a member segmentation module, and a communications module. The category score module may be configured to generate a definition score for the member profile based on phrases that are present in the member profile, generate a propensity score for the member profile based on behavior data of a member represented by the member profile, and combine the definition score and the propensity score to generate a subscriber score for the member profile. The member segmentation module may be configured to compare the subscriber score of the member profile to a threshold value. The communications module may be configured to selectively send a communication to the member based on a result of the comparing.
