    Abstract: The photovoltaic cell includes a silicon substrate, a first passivation layer, a second passivation layer, at least one silicon oxynitride layer, and at least one silicon nitride layer. The second passivation layer includes a first silicon oxide layer and at least one aluminum oxide layer, a ratio of the number of oxide atoms to the number of aluminum atoms in the at least one aluminum oxide layer is greater than 0.8 and less than 1.6. The number of silicon atoms is greater than the number of oxygen atoms in the at least one silicon oxynitride layer and the number of oxygen atoms is greater than the number of nitrogen atoms in the at least one silicon oxynitride layer. A ratio of the number of silicon atoms to the number of nitrogen atoms in the at least one silicon nitride layer is greater than 1 and less than 4.

    Abstract: A nano scale robotic system for single cell DNA sequencing of a strand of DNA positioned on a slide utilizes an atomic force microscope (AFM) having an end effector in the form of a cantilever with a tip. The AFM causes its cantilever tip to scan over the base pairs of the DNA strand. A pair of spaced-apart electrodes at the tip makes contact with opposite sides of the DNA strand and the current between bases of the DNA strand is measured by a current measurement system connected to the electrodes. An artificial intelligence-based data analytic system determines the DNA sequence based on the current from the current measuring system. The AFM tip is guided over the DNA strand by comparing compressed desired intensity local scan images and compressed actual intensity local scan images and using the difference to control the location of the tip.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for preparing an intermediate of florfenicol, comprising: reacting p-methylthiobenzaldehyde with isocyanoacetate under catalysis of a chiral catalyst. In the reaction, the chiral product is oxidized to form a methylsulfone-substituted product which is subsequently deformylized to obtain the intermediate. In the method of the present invention, the chiral center of the intermediate is directly generated in the first step of reaction, and the yield of the first step reaches 75%-80%, which is significantly higher than the conventional chiral resolution methods (about 40% yield), and the product has high chiral purity. The method of the present invention does not use anhydrous copper sulfate that pollutes the environment, which reduces the environmental pressure. The compound of p-methylthiobenzaldehyde and the compound of isocyanoacetate are used to react to form a chiral intermediate, which has higher material availability and efficiency than linear synthesis methods.

In the present method for preparing florfenicol, respective reaction steps can be continuously operated, therefore the methods of the present invention features simplified process and shorter synthetic route, and obtained florfenicol has high chiral purity and is of high yield. The method of the present invention for preparing florfenicol (TM) using the intermediate (V) avoids waste water pollution and reduces the cost for treating wastewater and alleviates environmental pollution. At the same time, the methods of the present invention eliminates a chiral resolution procedure, thus increasing the utilization rate of atoms in the reaction. As a result, cost is reduced and process is simplified.
