  • Patent number: 4959947
Abstract: An apparatus for the production and packaging of a compound mixture, in which extremely accurate and rapid weighing-out, proportioning and packaging of individual components are achieved, is provided. For this, filling stations (4 to 6) are equipped with combined discharge, weighing and transfer devices (22) which allow single-component treatment. The mixture introduced into a plastic bag (30) is further treated in a separate welding station (37), an ejection station (42) and a monitoring weight station (45). A combined bag-suction device (9) with a bag compacter (10) and dust-extraction device (11) serves for the disposal of the empty bags (8) of the individual components and for the removal of dust in the system.

  • Patent number: 4430738
Abstract: An arrangement for the current limitation during the current supply of electrically excited gas lasers includes a rotary current transformer, self-inductances provided in front of a rotary current bridge rectifier, and a capacitor, if desired. In each phase conductor an inductance is provided between the secondary side of the rotary current transformer preferably working at power frequency and the rotary current bridge rectifier.

  • Patent number: 4319202
Abstract: A transversely electrically excited atmospheric pressure gas laser working in a pulsed mode (TEA laser) includes a cooled working gas conducted in circulation, a cooled cathode, an anode arranged at a distance from the cathode, and an open-worked auxiliary electrode arranged therebetween. The cooled cathode is designed as a metallic conducting, elongated cathode plate extending in the direction of the optical axis and the auxiliary electrode is arranged parallel to the cathode in the cathode drop region, in order to produce a glow skin covering the entire cathode.

  • Patent number: 4182731
Abstract: Aqueous solutions of polyenyltriarylphosphonium salts are prepared from solutions of the corresponding polyenyltriarylphosphonium salts in organic solvents by driving off the solvent with steam, part of the steam being allowed to condense. Some of the said triarylphosphonium salts may be used directly as pesticides while others are used as intermediates for organic syntheses, especially in the carotinoid field.

  • Patent number: 3939184
Abstract: Production of carbonyl compounds substituted in the .alpha.-position and having the formula: ##EQU1## wherein R.sup.1 is alkyl, aralkyl, phenyl, toluyl, naphthyl, alkoxy or amino; R.sup.2 is hydrogen ##EQU2## A is hydrogen, alkyl, halo or ##EQU3## R.sup.6 is hydrogen or methyl, and R.sup.11 is alkyl; wherein said compounds are formed by reacting a sulfur ylide having the formula: ##EQU4## wherein Y is the radical ##EQU5## and R.sup.9 and R.sup.10 are alkyl or phenyl, with a solution containing both an electrophilic agent A' that is converted into the radical A and a nucleophilic agent B' that is converted into the radical B. The resulting carbonyl compounds are useful as starting materials for the production of paper, textile, and leather auxiliaries, plant protection agents, alkyd resins, polyesters and polyamides.
