  • Publication number: 20100120492
Abstract: A method of facilitating the operation of a wagering game and a system for operating the same. A winning game outcome may be randomly determined. The display of the winning game outcome to a player may be accomplished by first displaying a fictitious loss, and then visually transforming the display of the fictitious loss into a display representing the winning game outcome.

  • Patent number: 7617930
Abstract: An assembled container for smoking articles includes an outer sleeve that includes a front wall, a rear wall, a right side wall, and a left side wall. Packets of cigarettes are positioned within the outer sleeve. For example, two packets, each containing ten cigarettes, are positioned within the outer sleeve. The packets, and the outer sleeve, include mechanisms that interact during movement of the individual packets within the outer sleeve. As such, a portion of each packet is maintained within the outer sleeve during conditions of normal use.

  • Publication number: 20090228531
Abstract: File selection techniques that can handle overlapping module contexts provide flexible and reversible backup, restore, migration, deployment and synchronization operations. Both remote (administrative) control and local (user) control of the file selection are provided. Application and configuration specific templates are provided to a user from the remote administrator for further customization by selecting or de-selecting configurations, applications and/or individual files or configuration entries. The templates may be controlled geographically by the IP address or identity associated with the user. A user's interaction with the customization is saved and the order of changes is maintained, so that when the templates are updated, the user's customizations can be re-applied. The administrator may override user settings based on rules, which may also be geographically determined. The file selection may also be altered based on media type and location, e.g., local backup vs. server backup.

  • Publication number: 20080230410
Abstract: A hard pack cigarette package includes an inner frame with fold-over tabs at the top of the inner frame shoulders that overlap an opposing flap in the hinged lid of the package. When the lid is opened or closed, the tabs and opposing flap disengage with an audible click sound. The force required to disengage the tabs and flap help to retain the lid in a secured closed position.

  • Publication number: 20060093978
Abstract: A regenerative burner device for a furnace and a method of removing contaminants from such a device. The burner device includes a burner for introducing heat and waste gas into a furnace during ignition when supplied with fuel and a combustion gas, a media bed comprising refractory particles, and ducting for delivering combustion gas to said burner during ignition, and for drawing waste gas from said furnace on termination of ignition. The ducting causes the combustion gas and the waste gas to pass in succession through the media bed. Means are provided for periodically delivering a rapid flow of a decontaminating gas into said media bed. The rapid flow is of sufficient force to dislodge contaminants collected in the media bed from said waste gas.

  • Patent number: 5122181
Abstract: A process and apparatus for melting contaminated metalliferous scrap material are disclosed. The process comprises introducing the contaminated material into a melting furnace, heating the material by means of a plasma at a temperature below the melting point of the metal at which the non-metallic contaminants are volatilized in an atmosphere which is preferably inert or has low reactivity with the metal under the process conditions while displacing at least some of the material within the furnace interior, withdrawing volatile contaminants from the furnace, increasing the temperature in the furnace preferably while maintaining an atmosphere of low reactivity in the furnace in order to melt the metal while preferably displacing at least some of the material in the furnace interior, and removing molten metal from the furnace. The process allows scrap material to be melted with good metal recovery without the need for separate decontaminating apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4127341
Abstract: For use in a trailing arm assembly having a support frame and a spring-loaded trailing arm pivotally mounted on the support frame, an adjustable stop element is provided for limiting the downward deflection of the trailing arm. The stop element is a rotatable eccentrically mounted element having a polygonal cross section, the surfaces around the polygon adjustably engaging the underside of the trailing arm, thereby adjustably limiting the downward deflection of the trailing arm. The deflection limiting element may conveniently be in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped eccentrically mounted between two guide plates which provide lateral support for the trailing arm.
