  • Patent number: 6805463
Abstract: A shunt element contacting structure for decorative lamp holder mainly includes two contacting plates correspondingly fixed to an inner wall surface of a decorative lamp holder and each having an inward projected elastic portion, and a holding member radially inward extended from the inner wall surface of the lamp holder to hold a shunt element thereto. When a decorative lamp is inserted into the lamp holder with two leads in contact with the two contacting plates, the two elastic portions are also radially outward pushed by a lower portion of the decorative lamp to disengage from two ends of the shunt element on the holding member. And, when the decorative lamp is removed from the lamp holder, the elastic portions of the contacting plates resume to their radially inward projected positions to contact with two ends of the shunt element to thereby provide a shunt path.

  • Publication number: 20030218412
Abstract: A light string includes electrical wires to which a number of bulb sockets are connected in series. Each bulb socket defines a receptacle for receiving and retaining a bulb with the bulb in electrical connection with the electrical wires. A shunt member made of alumina is incorporated in the socket. The shunt member is removably disposed in the receptacle of the socket, independent of the bulb, for being electrically connected to the electrical wires in parallel with the bulb whereby when the bulb burns out, the shunt member maintains the current flowing through the wires. The shunt member further includes an insulation sheath surrounding the alumina section.

  • Publication number: 20030213764
Abstract: An arch frame for supporting a light string includes two arch-shaped support bars. Each support inclues a number of T-shaped elements having aligned first and second branches and a perpendicular third branch. Adjacent T-shaped elements are connected together by connection beams having opposite ends respectively and releasably coupled to the first and second branches of the T-shaped elements. A cross stick has opposite ends respectively and releasably connected to the third branches of opposite T-shaped elements of the two arch-shaped bars to fix the support bars together. Each T-shaped element further includes a peg extending in a direction substantially opposite to the third branch for engaging the wires of the light string so as to support the light string on the arch frame.

  • Patent number: 6642660
Abstract: A shunt member includes an insulation sheath, a first lead wire having a shunt wire engaging section located in the insulation sheath, a second lead wire having a shunt wire engaging section located in the insulation sheath and adjacent to the shunt wire engaging section of the first lead wire. A shunt wire is connected between the shunt wire engaging sections of the first lead wire and the second lead wire for forming a shunt circuit of the bulb. When the shunt member is received in the lamp holder, the shunt member and the filament of the lamp are connected in parallel. An insulation bead member is further fixedly mounted between the shunt wire engaging sections of the first lead wire and the second lead wire for keeping a fixed distance therebetween.

  • Patent number: 6474842
Abstract: A decorative light assembly with a plurality of upright arranged light units is disclosed. The decorative light assembly includes a frame constructed in a first direction. A plurality of light units are electrically connected by a pair of electrical wires and arranged on the frame in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction of the frame. The frame includes a first extended wire and a second extended wire parallel to the first extended wire, therefore forming a long and narrow gap between the first extended wire and the second extended wire. The light mounting member further includes a plastic clipping ring mounted in the central through hole of the light mounting member, and then the light unit is clipped in the central through hole of the plastic clipping ring. Alternatively, the frame is constructed by an extended plate having a plurality of through hole arranged thereon, and the light units are mounted in the through holes of the extended plate.

  • Publication number: 20020141203
Abstract: An elongate tube with at least one extended rib for a decorative light assembly is disclosed. The extended rib is extended in a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the elongate tube. One end of the elongate tube is supported on a top end of a central post, and the other end is spirally suspended around the central post. A number of ropes extend at a predetermined angle with respect to the central post and angularly spaced from each other about the central post, winding on the elongate tube thereby retaining the tube in a three-dimensional spiral shape. The elongate tube is further formed with a plurality of concave sections thereon, so that the rope passing across the elongate tube is wound on the concave section to prevent the rope from sliding along the elongate tube. A plurality of light units are electrically connected in series and arranged inside the hollow inner tube of the elongate tube in a manner equally spaced from each other.
