Patent number: 11668477Abstract: A dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) includes an outdoor unit providing a temperature at a set dry bulb temperature and dew point temperature in a wide variety of outdoor air conditions. The DOAS monitors and modulates suction pressure and head pressure in order to maintain a dew point temperature of 45° F. for supplied air. Furthermore, the DOAS includes a hot gas reheat coil, allowing the system to heat the air to 73° F. before supplying the air to a space, even where outdoor air temperature is lower than 73° F. In one embodiment, the DOAS includes an energy recovery ventilator (ERV) in order to precondition the air to decrease the amount of energy needed to operate the DOAS in some conditions.Type: GrantFiled: March 26, 2021Date of Patent: June 6, 2023Assignee: KENTUCKIANA CURB COMPANY, INC.Inventors: Jordan Scott Reynolds, William Dale Keen

Publication number: 20230170695Abstract: Techniques for distributing electrical power to a plurality of electrical loads can include coupling an existing group of electrical loads to a common power source through a load management system, measuring an aggregate group current drawn by at least the existing group of electrical loads and comparing the measured aggregate group current to an aggregate group current threshold value. When the measured aggregate group current exceeds the aggregate group current threshold value, increase a number of subgroups of the existing group, using subgroups that are formed without requiring information about individual current associated with the individual electrical loads, sequentially apply power to individual subgroups during non-overlapping time periods, sequentially measure at least a corresponding current drawn by the individual subgroups while power is applied to the subgroups, and sequentially comparing the measured current to a threshold value.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 5, 2023Publication date: June 1, 2023Inventor: William Dale Tischer

Patent number: 11634979Abstract: Methods for determining parameter/s of a well completion design (WCD) for at least a portion of a drilled well based on drilling data corresponding to variables of mechanical specific energy (MSE) are provided. In some cases, MSE values may be acquired and the WCD parameter/s may be based on the MSE values. The MSE values may be obtained from a provider or may be acquired by calculating the MSE values via the drilling data. In some cases, the data may be amended prior to determining the WCD parameter/s to substantially neutralize distortions of the data. In some cases, the methods may include creating a geomechanical model of the drilled well from acquired MSE values, optionally amending the geomechanical model and determining the WCD parameter/s from the geomechanical model. Storage mediums having program instructions which are executable by a processor for performing any steps of the methods are also provided.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 2015Date of Patent: April 25, 2023Assignees: Nextier Completion Solutions Inc., Vorpal Energy Solutions, LLC.Inventors: Sridhar Srinivasan, William Dale Logan
