  • Patent number: 8663670
Abstract: Composition for control of insect pests includes an ammonium phosphate containing formulation effective for the kill and/or control of a hatched insect pest and/or an insect pest egg. Provided in a second aspect is a method for kill or control of an insect pest, which includes providing the composition; and applying it so as to contact an insect pest and/or an insect pest egg in an amount effective to kill or control the insect pest and/or insect pest egg. Protocol methodology for inspection of premises that may contain the insect pest and/or insect pest egg, and, if necessary, for kill or control of the same, which may include by employment of the method for control of the insect pest, is also provided. Bedbugs and/or their eggs are a special target effectively killed or controlled.

  • Patent number: 8619662
Abstract: A method for unicast packet conversion whereby a unicast packet is received at a receiving node followed by a determination as to whether the destination address is identified in the packet. If the address is identified, then the unicast packets are converted to a multicast packet and forwarded to a connected station. If a destination network address is not identified, then the packet is forwarded to the connected station.

  • Patent number: 8594734
Abstract: A system and method for implementing transmission parameter control at a transmitting station is described. The exemplary system and method comprises querying a transmission parameter control module for a transmission schedule. The transmission schedule comprises at least one schedule entry defining a set of transmission parameter controls as they pertain to a destination address. At least one packet of data is then transmitted to the destination address according to the transmission parameters controls of at least one schedule entry from the transmission schedule. A system and method for selecting an antenna configuration corresponding to a next transmission of packet data is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20130038496
Abstract: An antenna apparatus comprises selectable antenna elements including a plurality of dipoles and/or a plurality of slot antennas (“slot”). Each dipole and/or each slot provides gain with respect to isotropic. The dipoles may generate vertically polarized radiation and the slots may generate horizontally polarized radiation. Each antenna element may have one or more loading structures configured to decrease the footprint (i.e., the physical dimension) of the antenna element and minimize the size of the antenna apparatus.

  • Patent number: 8344055
Abstract: An ammonium phosphate containing fire retardant is combined with a fluoropolymer and/or a penetrating barrier, borate-containing formulation having resistance to water damage with protective properties coming from materials such as used in food packaging and cosmetics and/or a medium-to-long chain polar carboxyl substance, and/or a medium-to-long chain polar carboxyl substance without borate, so as to make a composition. The composition can be aqueous. It can be a liquid of light to moderate viscosity, or may be a concentrated or dried version, which may contain a neutral ammonium phosphate and perhaps other ingredient(s) such as a mold inhibitor, an insecticide, a stain protector, and so forth and the like. The mold inhibitor can have especial activity against toxic black mold (Stachybotrys chartarum). The insecticide may be a termiticide.

  • Patent number: 8314749
Abstract: A wireless device having vertically and horizontally polarized antenna arrays can operate at multiple frequencies concurrently. A horizontally polarized antenna array allows for the efficient distribution of RF energy in dual bands using, for example, selectable antenna elements, reflectors and/or directors that create and influence a particular radiation pattern. A vertically polarized array can provide a high-gain dual band wireless environment using reflectors and directors as well. The polarized horizontal antenna arrays and polarized vertical antenna arrays can operate concurrently to provide dual band operation simultaneously.

  • Publication number: 20110205137
Abstract: A horizontally polarized antenna array allows for the efficient distribution of RF energy into a communications environment through selectable antenna elements and redirectors that create a particular radiation pattern such as a substantially omnidirectional radiation pattern. In conjunction with a vertically polarized array, a particular high-gain wireless environment may be created such that one environment does not interfere with other nearby wireless environments and avoids interference created by those other environments. Lower gain patterns may also be created by using particular configurations of a horizontal and/or vertical antenna array. In a preferred embodiment, the antenna systems disclosed herein are utilized in a multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) wireless environment.
