  • Publication number: 20210182461
Abstract: A system and method for using weather applied metrics for determining the impact of weather conditions on the flight of a ball at an outdoor sports venue. Historical and current data for weather parameters, including wind, air pressure, humidity, temperature, and precipitation, are obtained to calculate the influence of each parameter on the flight of a ball. The influences of each of the parameters are summed to model the flight of the ball based on the current weather conditions. Weather instruments, such as weather sensors, anemometers, LiDAR and SODAR devices, weather consoles, data routing devices, and processors can be included in a system for using weather applied metrics to predict the flight of a ball based on current weather conditions.

  • Patent number: 10974826
Abstract: Apparatus, systems, and methods are contemplated for electric powered vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. Such are craft are engineered to carry safely carry at least 500 pounds (approx. 227 kg) using at least four, and more preferably at least six variable speed tilt rotors. In some embodiments one or more rotors cooperate to generate at least 50% of the lift, and more preferably at least 70% of the lift, during rotorborne flight (e.g., vertical takeoff, hover, etc). At least some of the blades of each of the at least four rotors are not feathered, retracted, or folded during forward flight. At least one of the variable speed tilt rotors is engineered to be optionally powered by multiple motors, and by multiple battery packs or other independently operating electric power sources. The vehicle preferably flies in an autopilot or pilotless mode and has a relatively small (e.g., less than 45? diameter) footprint.

  • Publication number: 20210091794
Abstract: A processing element includes an input zero detector to detect whether the input from the neighbor processing element contains a zero. When the input from the neighbor processing element contains the zero, a zero disable circuit controls the input from the neighbor processing element and respective data of the memory to both appear as unchanged to the arithmetic logic unit for the operation. A controller of an array of processing elements adds a row of error-checking values to a matrix of coefficients, each error-checking value of the row of error-checking values being a negative sum of a respective column of the matrix of coefficients. The controller controls a processing element to perform an operation with the matrix of coefficients and an input vector to accumulate a result vector. Owing to the error-checking values, when a sum of elements of the result vector is non-zero, an error is detected.

  • Publication number: 20210064206
Abstract: Methods and systems for displaying content items on an information resource include identifying a supplemental content item to append to a DOM tree of the information resource and identifying a first content item displayed in a first container of the information resource. The methods also includes monitoring a position of a predetermined portion of the first content item relative to a viewport of the application and determining, responsive to monitoring the position of the predetermined portion of the first content item, that the first content item is visible within the viewport of the application. The method also includes appending the supplemental content item in a second container at a first position between the first container and an end of the information resource and displaying the supplemental content item within the viewport of the application responsive to detecting a scroll action towards the end of the information resource.
