Patent number: 9400967Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed which relate to a network of RFID readers which detect a location of an RFID transmitter coupled to a portable device. The network of RFID readers transmits the location to a user. The RFID transmitter couples to any personal device and broadcasts a unique ID. The nearest RFID reader(s) receive the unique ID and alert a server in communication with the network of RFID readers. The server calculates the distance of the RFID transmitter from each RFID reader receiving the unique ID. The server triangulates the location of the RFID transmitter when three or more RFID readers are receiving the unique ID. The server then securely transmits the location of the RFID transmitter to the user of the portable device. The user receives the transmission through a secure receiver.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2012Date of Patent: July 26, 2016Assignee: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventor: William A. O'Hern

Publication number: 20160014145Abstract: Websites are monitored for changes over time. A domain name server resolves a domain name to a single internet protocol address and then performs a reverse resolution for the single internet protocol address. When multiple alias records resolve to the same host name, the domain name server determines the single internet protocol address virtually hosts multiple domain names.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 23, 2015Publication date: January 14, 2016Applicant: AT&T INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY I, L.P.Inventors: Daniel Sheleheda, Edward G. Patent number: 9172712Abstract: A method for locating and monitoring websites is provided that includes finding websites and contained hyperlinks, downloading a first snapshot of a web page taken at a first time, and downloading a second snapshot of the web page taken at a second time later than the first time. The method also includes enabling a comparison of the first snapshot and the second snapshot. A system for monitoring websites is provided. The system includes means for enabling a comparison of the first snapshot and the second snapshot visually or through the use of content data from that web site. A computer-readable recording medium having recorded thereon an executable program is provided. The program when executed causes a processor to perform a method for monitoring websites.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 2009Date of Patent: October 27, 2015Assignee: AT&T INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY I, L.P.Inventors: Daniel Sheleheda, Edward G. Publication number: 20140325548Abstract: A method that incorporates teachings of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving a packet indicative of a request for a number of video content items. The video content items are identified based on a network traffic flow characteristic associated with the packet and a popularity level is determined associated with each video content item of the number of video content items. The popularity level for each of the video content items is compared to a popularity threshold, and a portion of a video content item is displayed responsive to the popularity level exceeding the popularity threshold. Other embodiments are disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 11, 2014Publication date: October 30, 2014Inventor: William O'Hern
