  • Patent number: 11102602
Abstract: A system can include a position sensor configured to output position data of a HWD. The system can include one or more processors configured to identify a first head angle of the HWD using the position sensor, generate an audio signal using the first head angle, identify a second head angle of the HWD using the position sensor, determine an angle error based at least on the first head angle and the second head angle, and apply at least one of a time difference or a level difference to the audio signal based at least on the angle error to adjust the audio signal. The system can include an audio output device configured to output the adjusted audio signal. By adjusting the audio signal using the angle error, the system can correct for long spatial update latencies and reduce the perceptual impact of such latencies for the user.

  • Publication number: 20210231011
Abstract: Aspects of the subject technology relate to systems, methods, and computer-readable media for controlling a hydraulic fracturing job. Diagnostics data of a hydraulic fracturing completion of a wellbore can be received. A fracture formation model that models formation characteristics of fractures formed through the wellbore into a formation surrounding the wellbore during the hydraulic fracturing completion with respect to surface variables can be accessed. A subsurface objective function of fracture complexity can be selected from a plurality of subsurface objective functions for changing one or more of the formation characteristics of the fractures. The fracture formation model can be applied based on the diagnostics data to determine values of the surface variables for controlling the formation characteristics of the fractures to converge on the subsurface objective function of fracture complexity. As follows, a fracture completion plan can be formed based on the values of the surface variables.

  • Publication number: 20210219085
Abstract: An audio system generates customized head-related transfer functions (HRTFs) for a user. The audio system receives an initial set of estimated HRTFs. The initial set of HRTFs may have been estimated using a trained machine learning and computer vision system and pictures of the user's ears. The audio system generates a set of test locations using the initial set of HRTFs. The audio system presents test sounds at each of the initial set of test locations using the initial set of HRTFs. The audio system monitors user responses to the test sounds. The audio system uses the monitored responses to generate a new set of estimated HRTFs and a new set of test locations. The process repeats until a threshold accuracy is achieved or until a set period of time expires. The audio system presents audio content to the user using the customized HRTFs.

  • Publication number: 20210216271
Abstract: A system creates an audio profile. The audio profile may be stored in a database. For example, the audio profile may be securely stored in a database of a social network and associated with a user account. • Patent number: 10954768
Abstract: A method of fracturing a subterranean formation to produce fluid from a reservoir through a wellbore includes flowing a treating fluid into the wellbore to create fractures in the formation, selectively flowing a flow constraint material (FCM) into the wellbore simultaneously with the treating fluid, pausing the flow of the FCM while maintaining the flow of the treating fluid, monitoring a parameter of the formation to determine whether the parameter is within a range, resuming the flow of the FCM when the parameter of the formation is out of the range, ceasing the flow of the FCM when the parameter of the formation is in the range, where a system strain increase is about 0.0003 or less when the parameter of the formation is in range, and where the flow of the flow constraint material partially constrains the treating fluid from entering at least one of the fractures.

  • Patent number: 10940159
Abstract: A combination immediate/delayed release delivery system for compounds which have short half-life's, such as the antidiabetic remogliflozin etabonate, is provided which provides a dosage form that has two distinct phases of release, a formulation that promotes immediate release of the compound upon ingestion and another formulation which delays the release of the compound so that a dosing regimen of remogliflozin etabonate, once daily, may be achieved while providing effective control of plasma glucose and minimizing the nighttime exposure of this compound. The delivery system includes, but is not limited to, a combination of enteric coating of an immediate release formulation such that a delay in release is provided. Methods for forming the so-described immediate/delayed release delivery system and using such delivery system for treating diabetes are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10897570
Abstract: A system generates an output audio signal for an object or virtual object using image data of a room to select a room impulse response from a database. A headset may include a depth camera assembly (DCA) and processing circuitry. The DCA generates depth image data of a room. The processing circuitry determines room parameters such as the dimensions of the room based on the depth image data. A room impulse response for the room is determined based on referencing a database of room impulse responses using the room parameters. An output audio signal is generated by convolving a source audio signal of an object with the room impulse response.
