  • Patent number: 11831736
Abstract: A caching entity may store a cached copy of a service layer resource. An original hosting entity may maintain a registry of the corresponding cached resources. Optionally, the original hosting entity may set cache parameters to govern the lifetime of the cache on a caching entity. The caching entity may keep storing the cached copy of the resource and the original hosting entity may obtain statistics about the cached resource. By knowing the statistics, e.g. how many times a resource is retrieved on each caching entity, the original hosting entity may better manage the resource.

  • Publication number: 20230364384
Abstract: Systems, medical devices, and methods for controlling stiffness of the medical devices are disclosed. For example, a system can include an elongate medical device such as a stylet and a pneumatic or hydraulic pump station. The medical device can include a tubular body with a lumen. The lumen, which terminates proximal of a distal end of the medical device, can be configured to contain a fluid. The pump station can be configured to pressurize the fluid and, thereby, stiffen at least a distal portion of the medical device. Being as the tubular body of the medical device is configured to be disposed in another lumen of another elongate medical device such as an intravenous catheter, any stiffness in the medical device (e.g., the stylet) can be imparted to the other medical device (e.g., the catheter) when disposed therein.

  • Publication number: 20230364386
Abstract: Systems, medical devices, and methods for steering the medical devices are disclosed. For example, a system can include an elongate medical device and a pump station. The medical device can include a tubular body with a lumen. The lumen, which terminates proximal of a distal end of the medical device, can be configured to contain a fluid. • Publication number: 20230370843
Abstract: An Authorization Verification Service (AVS) is disclosed that may be provided by an IoT/M2M service layer to registrants of the service layer for Dynamic Context Aware Authorization. The AVS may allow the IoT/M2M service layer entities to define dynamic limits for authorizing access to services or data. The limits may be set, for example, in terms of the number of allowed accesses. When an IoT/M2M registrant makes a request for data or services for which it has dynamic context aware authorization, the AVS may maintain records of the remaining accesses available.

  • Patent number: 11810245
Abstract: An illustrative server system receives a request from a client device to join a virtual world managed by the server system. In response to receiving the request, the server system identifies an avatar location for an avatar that is to represent a user of the client device within the virtual world when the client device joins the virtual world. Based on the avatar location, the server system determines a first priority value for a first asset of the virtual world and a second priority value for a second asset of the virtual world. Based on the first and second priority values, the server system provides to the client device a prioritized replication of the virtual world in which the first asset is replicated in a prioritized manner that allows the user to experience the first asset before the second asset is replicated. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11811740
Abstract: Existing approaches to security within network, for instance oneM2M networks, are limited. For example, content might only be protected while the content is in transit between entities that trust each other. Here, the integrity and the confidentiality of content in an M2M network are protected. Such content may be “at rest,” such that the content is stored at a hosting node. Only authorized entities may store and retrieve the data that is stored at the hosting node, and the data may be protected from a confidentiality perspective and an integrity perspective.

  • Publication number: 20230346314
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to steerable devices configured to negotiate tortuous vascular pathways. The system can include a stylet having a shapeable portion formed of a shape-memory, super-elastic material such as Nitinol. The stylet can be placed within a catheter and can include a fiber-optic strain sensor (FOSS) system configured to determine a shape of the stylet. Passing a fluid of a predetermined temperature through a lumen of the catheter can modify temperature of the shapeable portion which in turn can modify a shape and/or flexibility state of the shapeable portion. Modifying the shape of the shapeable portion can modify an angle at which a distal tip of the stylet extends relative to the central longitudinal axis. A user can then rotate and advance the distal tip to negotiate tortuous vascular pathways. Similarly, modifying a flexibility of the shapeable portion can facilitate negotiating tortuous vascular pathways.

  • Publication number: 20230350591
Abstract: Profile switching for memory overclocking is described. In accordance with the described techniques, a memory is operated according to a first memory profile. During operation of the memory according to the first memory profile, a request is received to operate the memory according to a second memory profile. Responsive to the request, operation of the memory is switched to operate according to the second memory profile without rebooting. In one or more implementations, at least one of the first memory profile or the second memory profile comprises an overclocking memory profile that configures the memory to operate in an overclocking mode. In one or more implementations, the memory is trained to operate according to the overclocking memory profile prior to operating the memory according to the first memory profile.
