  • Publication number: 20220300664
Abstract: An administrative control system for controlling access to one or more devices for one or more users. In at least some examples, the administrative control system utilizes an access control device (ACD) inserted into an electrical circuit to selectively control electricity (e.g., power or control signals) in an electrical circuit of one or more governed devices. In this regard, even closed devices may be subjected to control by the administrative control system. In turn, a policy regarding device use may be enforced across different devices and platforms to provide a comprehensive system for controlling access to governed devices. Further still, the system may monitor for one or more circumvention states to provide a responsive action or altering/notification in response to a circumvention state.

  • Patent number: 11436576
Abstract: After loss of communications between a cash handling device and a financial institution, transactions may continue to be processed. In one configuration, the transactions may be processed up to a predefined transaction limit. Transaction limits may be defined by a number of transactions, a dollar amount transacted or to be transacted, an amount of time and/or combinations thereof. Additionally or alternatively, the transaction limit may be specific to one or more types of transactions. Transaction data may be stored in memory until communication has been re-established, at which time the data may be transmitted to the financial institution for processing.

  • Publication number: 20220277458
Abstract: Various embodiments contemplate systems, architectures and methods for extracting and selecting headshots of human or non-human entities from catalogs of images of such subjects. The methods described may find and extract faces from within groups of subjects, verify that the extracted faces correspond to the desired subject, determine cropping or masking regions, or both, of rectangular, circular, elliptical or some other geometry to provide an easily recognized image of the desired subject, expand the output image by synthesizing pixels as may be needed for a desired cropping or masking region, select preferred images among a collection of images of the desired subject, and perform other useful functions. The resulting output images may be in either direct form, reference form or both forms.

  • Patent number: 11430384
Abstract: Techniques are described for operating a display system comprising a light source, a scanning assembly, and a controller. The light source includes a plurality of emitters arranged in a column. The scanning assembly includes a reflective surface. A control signal including linear or sinusoidal pulses is applied to cause the reflective surface to rotate. The controller drives the emitters in sequence, using a same image data value, and in synchronization with the rotating of the reflective surface such that light emitted by different emitters of the plurality of emitters is reflected onto a same pixel of an output image. Changes in rotational speed are compensated for through increasing an emission duration for a first row driven while the reflective surface is rotating at a slower rotational speed, relative to an emission duration for a second row driven while the reflective surface is rotating at a faster rotational speed.
