  • Publication number: 20100126051
Abstract: A mounting apparatus can be used to install a sign to a mounting surface. The mounting apparatus permits the sign, in response to an impact, to displace to dissipate or dampen force of the impact and thus prevent or reduce damage to the sign. The mounting apparatus can permit the sign to displace in at least two different directions. The sign can be biased to a neutral position.

  • Publication number: 20080275777
Abstract: An auction management system brokers, between a seller and a buyer, a discrete traffic block of an ad placement. The auction management system comprises a traffic block definition tool providing workflows for obtaining traffic block parameters defining the discrete traffic block, the traffic block parameters comprising: i) an identification of the ad placement; ii) a volume parameter defining the volume of traffic included in the discrete traffic block; iii) at least one duration parameter defining an active time period during which the volume of traffic included in the discrete traffic block will be provided; and iv) an auction parameter defining an expiration time before which buyers submit offers to purchase the discrete traffic block. A listing search tool provides web pages displaying a listing of a plurality of listed discrete traffic blocks. Each listed discrete traffic block comprises a discrete traffic block with an expiration time that has not yet passed.

  • Patent number: 7398890
Abstract: A closure assembly for a mouth and neck portion of a container for liquid has a sleeve adapted to lie substantially concentrically with respect to the mouth and provided with a mechanism for fixing the sleeve on the container. A first outer sleeve is coaxially mounted over the sleeve and a second outer sleeve separate from the first outer sleeve and substantially tight fit with a container closure member. The first and second outer sleeves are axially aligned and have respective initially adjacent portions. A mechanism is provided for spacing apart the initially adjacent portions of the first and second outer sleeves upon reclosure of the assembly after an initial opening of the container.

  • Patent number: 7049339
Abstract: A composition for treating a disease affecting the hoof of an animal comprising an active ingredient and a colloid former is described. The active ingredient may comprise zinc sulphate, copper sulphate, an organic acid, an alkali metal salt or a mixture thereof. The composition as disclosed has the advantage that it is more effective at applying an active ingredient to a hoof than a conventional, non-colloid system.

  • Patent number: 6908013
Abstract: There is disclosed a tamper-evident device for a closure assembly adapted to be applied to a mouth of a container, for example, a neck of a bottle. There has been identified a need for an improved tamper-evident device which does not have any parts which are removed upon initial opening and which are liable to be reattached by counterfeits or the like. Accordingly the present invention provides a tamper-evident device comprising a sleeve member which comprises a first portion associated with a second portion by a frangible portion therebetween, and wherein said first portion is adapted to be applied to a mouth and neck portion of a container, and said second portion is associated with a container closure member, and wherein an initial container opening operation causes said frangible portion to fracture or break such that when the container is reclosed said first and second portions are located in a spaced apart relationship to one another.

  • Patent number: 6854612
Abstract: The invention relates to a non-refillable tamper evident liquid container closure assembly which is applied to a mouth and neck portion of a container for liquid. The closure assembly provides a sleeve which is adapted to lie around the mouth and provided with three projection means projecting inwardly of the sleeve, the projection means are movable radially of the sleeve in a stiffly resilient manner and are engageable with an outer lip portion of the bottle neck. The assembly also includes a valve seat body which is receivable within the neck portion of the bottle, and is surrounded by the sleeve.

  • Patent number: 6816956
Abstract: Control and administration of the supply of memory managed in multiple heaps by a library heap management facility. Control data used by the heap management facility is located in user-supplied memory. Heaps are created dynamically through calls from the application to a runtime library. Allocation within a heap is performed through calls to the runtime library that canvass the available heap memory for each allocation request. If no suitable block of heap memory is located, additional user supplied memory is requested for the application through a callback function. A second callback function notifies the user when a supplied unit of memory is no longer required by the heap and may be disposed of. The callback functions are specified separately for each heap. The user may also set the default heap in the runtime library by allocation requests from a vendor library that do not specify a heap.

  • Patent number: 6139321
Abstract: A device for dispensing artificial teeth comprises a tooth support ribbon (2) which is made from a flexible material and is shaped to form an arch which substantially corresponds in shape to an upper or lower natural dental arch. A set (10) of artificial teeth (11, 12) is removably mounted on the support ribbon 92) by a slot (13) in each tooth which engages with a key (16) in the ribbon (2). The teeth are arranged on the ribbon (2) in an order which simulates natural dentition. The radius of the arch may be adjusted by an extensible cross-member (3) connected at each end to the ribbon (2) and extending across the arch.

  • Patent number: 5803152
Abstract: The present invention relates to eutectic alloy systems, such as white irons, in which a primary phase grows out of the melt when the melt is cooled below the liquidus temperature and comprises pouring the molten metal alloy at a temperature at or above the liquidus in a stream into a casting mould to form a casting and introducing a particulate material into the stream of molten metal to extract heat from the molten metal alloy to undercool the molten metal alloy from the pour temperature into the primary phase solidification range between the liquidus and the solidus temperatures of the alloy and thereby initiate primary phase nucleation and restrict primary phase growth. The primary function of the particulate material is to act as a heat sink but the particulate material may at least partially dissolve in the melt and may act as a seeding agent for the primary phase. The invention is described with particular reference to high chromium hypereutectic white irons.
