  • Publication number: 20230399150
Abstract: A screw cap (14, 502) configured to be removably attachable to a bottle (12) includes a base (40) and an annular skirt (42, 508) extending downwardly therefrom. One or more threads (32) extend radially inwardly from an interior surface of the skirt (42, 508). A retention feature (509) extends radially inwardly from the interior surface of the skirt (42, 508). The retention feature (509) is configured to produce at least one of an audible response or a tactile response when the cap (14, 502) is rotated with respect to a bottle (12).

  • Publication number: 20210390642
Abstract: This document describes methods and systems for delivering digital services to nodes of a distributed network. To do this, an edge server that is communicatively connected to a communication network receives, from a consumer node, a service request for a first requested digital service. The edge server (acting as a digital resource broker) also will receive, from each a plurality of service provider nodes, an identification of one or more digital service element capabilities that the service provider node is able to provide. The digital resource broker will identify a set of service provider nodes who have identified digital service element capabilities that are components of the requested digital service. The digital resource broker will create a channel that includes the set of service provider nodes and, for each node, its identified capabilities that are components of the requested service.

  • Patent number: 11200211
Abstract: When a local server that is connected to a wireless local area network (WLAN) receives a service request from a first electronic device, the server identifies a resource to provide one or more elements of the service. The server assigns the resource to provide the service element(s). The local server also selects one or more mutual distributed ledgers (MDLs) having parameters that correspond to the service request. The local server generates and transmits, to a gateway server, a transaction record having a format that corresponds to the selected MDL. This enables the local server to facilitate the delivery of services such as spectrum sharing, content streaming, and the like using WLAN-connected devices to facilitate delivery of the service. It also enables the gateway server to update each selected MDL with a transaction ledger that follows each selected MDL's format.

  • Publication number: 20210316087
Abstract: An inhaler includes a body portion defining a flow path for the administration of medicament to a patient, and an entrained polymer in the flow path and being secured to or integral with the body portion. The entrained polymer has a monolithic material that includes a base polymer, an active agent (e.g., desiccant and optionally odor adsorber), and optionally a channeling agent. Optionally, the entrained polymer in a 16 gram quantity releases less than 4 parts per million volatile organic compounds after heating at 60° C. for up to 72 hours, optionally zero parts per million.

  • Patent number: 10865019
Abstract: A container (2) includes a container body (10) having a base (12), a sidewall (14), and a body extension portion (16), the body extension portion terminates at a body extension outer surface; a lid (40) connected to the container body and that is pivotable to move the container between a closed position and an open position, the lid comprising a cover portion (42) and a lid extension portion (44) extending therefrom and terminating at a lid extension outer surface, the lid extension portion having an underside. The body extension outer surface and the lid extension outer surface are generally co-planar when the container is in the closed position. The body extension portion hits n window (24) configured to provide access to the underside when the container is in the closed position to enable a user to apply upward pressure on the underside to move the container from the closed position to the open position.

  • Patent number: 10740803
Abstract: A system receives event information describing an event performed by a user with a content provider. The system identifies a property associated with the content provider whose aggregation conditions are satisfied by the event. The system selects an aggregator to which to send the information based on the user. The selected aggregator stores an event entry in its aggregator store with the event information and an indication of the property. The aggregator determines an aggregate value of the user for the property based on event entries in the aggregator store associated with the user and the property. The system provides a content item associated with the content provider to the user based on audience conditions of the property being satisfied by the aggregate value. The system also determines a removal time for each event entry and schedules an aggregation event for updating the user's aggregate value at removal time.

  • Patent number: 10240486
Abstract: A new power generation thermodynamic cycle is described that eliminates need for bulk liquid condensation and vaporization steps required in conventional ORC power systems. An exemplary harmonic adsorption recuperative power cycle system offers more efficient power generation as compared with conventional ORC systems. A multibed adsorption system is used to provide thermal compression for the cycle. An adsorption compressor contains a sorbent with strong adsorption affinity for the working fluid in the pores while well outside the P-T conditions needed to condense the liquid phase, allowing the adsorption compressor to reduce operating pressure exiting the expander.

  • Publication number: 20180276571
Abstract: An online system uses rules and/or machine learning models to provide travel related content items to users. The online system may determine when a user is likely to travel and provide the content items in advance of a trip. The online system may also provide content items during a trip that indicate modifications to the user's itinerary, for example, adding a rental car, upgrading a flight ticket, or upgrading a hotel room. Further, the online system may provide a content item after a user has checked out of a hotel that describes a loyalty program of the hotel. In one example, the online system trains machine learning models using feature vectors derived based on trips taken by a population of users of the online system and itinerary information from third parties. The content items may be generated based on information provided from the third parties.

  • Patent number: 9900321
Abstract: Online system users interact with one or more third party systems, with the online system maintaining an account for each of its users and each third party system maintaining a third party account for each of its users. The online system compares information in a user's account to accessible information in third party accounts and establishes connections between the user's account and o third party accounts based on the comparisons. A connection between the user's account and a third party account includes a confidence level indicating a likelihood of the third party account being associated with the user of the online system corresponding to the account. A third party system may request information from the online system about a user specifying a threshold confidence level, allowing the online system to return information from third party accounts having connections to the user's account with at least the threshold confidence level.
