  • Patent number: 10650639
Abstract: A gaming machine comprises a display and an electronic controller for playing a first game. The electronic controller is configured to randomly determine whether to display one or more bonus symbols in the first game, each bonus symbol being associated with a bonus value award. Where a trigger event occurs during the first game, such as the appearance of a predetermined order of bonus symbols, electronic controller is configured to display an array of the bonus symbols on the display or optionally on another display. Where bonus symbols appear in further plays of the first game or plays of a second game, the bonus symbols are added to the array and bonus symbols present on the array are sequentially transferred to a win meter, which increments by the amount of the associated bonus value award of each transferred bonus symbol.

  • Patent number: 10649976
Abstract: Routing data is copied from a primary data store to a local data store of a computing device. As the routing data is being copied by the computing device, changes to the data continue to occur. After copying all or a portion of the data, the computing device uses a value of a global sequence number (GSN) to determine if mutations have been made to the primary data. The routing data in the local data store is not consistent with the routing data stored in the primary data store when the value of the GSN is larger after the copying of the routing data as compared to the initial value of the GSN when the copying started. When changes have been made to the data, the computing device integrates the changes into the local data store before beginning routing operations.

  • Patent number: 10647016
Abstract: An improvement to a lead forming system that provides quick changeover without complete disassembly. By removing a pair of fasteners securing a pair of die inserts, a spring pack in an upper die unit can be freely rotated and interchanged or modified. The spring pack has a plurality of chamfers that allow the spring pack to rotate within the die pack until a narrower side is presented for removal. Straightforward access to the cutting units is afforded when the spring pack is removed. Risk of damage to various components of the lead forming system is minimized and the precision and accuracy of the new setup is increased because the system was minimally disassembled. A method for removing the spring pack in the upper die unit is fully disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10650159
Abstract: An electronic device. The electronic device comprises a memory comprising a confidential information region and a non-confidential information region, a processor, and an application stored in the memory. When executed by the processor, the application determines if a reboot has occurred after a most recent power-off boot, where a reboot takes place without removing power from the processor and memory and, in response to determining that the reboot occurred after the most recent power-off boot, prevents access of applications to the confidential information region in the memory.

  • Patent number: 10648383
Abstract: A method of designing a gas turbine engine includes configuring a speed reduction device for driving a fan and configuring a lubrication system for lubricating components across a rotation gap. The lubrication system includes a lubricant input. A stationary first bearing receives lubricant from the lubricant input and has a first race in which lubricant flows. A second bearing for rotation is within the first bearing. The second bearing has a first opening in registration with the first race such that lubricant may flow from the first race through the first opening into a first conduit. The first bearing is configured to also include a second race into which lubricant flows. The second bearing has a second opening in registration with the second race such that lubricant may flow from the second race through the second opening into a second conduit. The first and second conduits deliver lubricant to distinct locations.

  • Patent number: 10651949
Abstract: Examples described herein relate to calibration of an optical communications link. Data signals received over the optical communications link are measured to obtain an eye scan. A height of an upper eye region and a height of a lower eye region are compared in the eye scan. A common mode calibration value is adjusted based on any difference in the heights. A common mode adjustment circuit is then controlled based on the common mode calibration value. The common mode adjustment circuit is configured to remove a direct current bias within a receiver for the optical communications link.

  • Patent number: 10648224
Abstract: An insulating glass unit (IGU) assembly line comprising a registration station capable of interleaving double and triple pane IGUs in accordance with an IOU production schedule. Visual indicators or prompts instruct operators at the assembly line in configuring a sequence of IGUs. Triple pane IGUs are assembled with minimal contamination of a center glass lite. A non-contact Bernoulli pad is used to lift a glass lite off from a horizontal or vertical support that conveys it from a glass washer to the registration station. Each of multiple pads has a capacity to lift approximately seven to ten pounds. Use of multiple pads per glass sheet or lite allows lites having dimensions up to 70 by 100 inches (assuming glass thickness of one quarter inch) to be assembled.

  • Patent number: 10648057
Abstract: A method and system for recovering a high yield of low carbon ferrochrome from chromite and low carbon ferrochrome produced by the method. A stoichiometric mixture of feed materials including scrap aluminum granules, lime, silica sand, and chromite ore are provided into a plasma arc furnace. The scrap aluminum granules are produced from used aluminum beverage containers. The feed materials are heated, whereupon the aluminum in the aluminum granules produces an exothermic reaction reducing the chromium oxide and iron oxide in the chromite to produce molten low carbon ferrochrome with molten slag floating thereon. The molten low carbon ferrochrome is extracted, solidified and granulated into granules of low carbon ferrochrome. The molten slag is extracted, solidified and granulated into granules of slag.
