  • Patent number: 10085278
Abstract: A communications device is configured to receive data from a wireless access interface transmitted by a mobile communications network. The wireless access interface provides a plurality of communications resource elements within a system bandwidth providing a host frequency range of a host carrier and reserved communications resources for preferable allocation to reduced capability devices, the reserved communications resources forming a virtual carrier. In each of a plurality of time divided units, the wireless access interface provides a shared channel of communications resources and a control channel formed within the communications resources of the system bandwidth of the host frequency range for communicating resource allocation messages to communications devices. The resource allocation messages allocate the communications resources of the shared channel to the communication devices within the system bandwidth and allocate the reserved communications resources to the reduced capability devices.

  • Patent number: 10082134
Abstract: A vacuum pumping system comprises a plurality of vacuum pumping arrangements for evacuating an enclosure and an auxiliary vacuum chamber for evacuation by at least one first vacuum pumping arrangement. The vacuum pumping system has a first state for evacuating the enclosure and a second state for conserving power consumed by the system. In a first stage of the second state the first vacuum pumping arrangement is arranged to evacuate an exhaust of at least one second vacuum pumping arrangement and in a second stage the exhaust of the first pumping arrangement is arranged to be evacuated by the auxiliary vacuum chamber.

  • Patent number: 10083142
Abstract: A technique for handling cache-inhibited operations in a data processing system includes receiving, at a topology specific replicated bus unit, a cache-inhibited (CI) operation that is scope limited. The replicated bus unit determines whether an address associated with the CI operation matches an address for the replicated bus unit. In response to the address associated with the CI operation matching the address for the replicated bus unit, the replicated bus unit processes the CI operation based on the scope being limited to that of the replicated bus unit. In response to the address associated with the CI operation not matching the address for the replicated bus unit, the replicated bus unit ignores the CI operation.

  • Patent number: 10081829
Abstract: Provided herein are methods of detecting nucleic acids. The nucleic acid of interest may be detected by using Cas endonuclease to degrade substantially all nucleic acid in a sample except for the nucleic acid of interest, leaving the nucleic acid of interest isolated and amenable to detection. In related methods, Cas endonuclease complexes are used to protect the nucleic acid of interest while unprotected nucleic acid is digested, e.g., by exonuclease, after which the isolated nucleic acid of interest is detected.

  • Patent number: 10084905
Abstract: A system presents close-loop controlled display states on the lockscreen of a mobile device. Contextual information may be collected at the mobile device. The system may access subscriber identity register data to determine subscription registry status for a mobile subscriber associated with the device. The subscriber identity register data and contextual information may be processed by closed-loop display state selection circuitry and next action selection logic to generate a display state selection. The display state selection is sent to the mobile device. The selected display state may be displayed during lockscreen invocations at the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 10082367
Abstract: A method of conducting a strike against a target using a designator and a missile. The following steps are conducted: (i) the designator designates the target using a first signal, such as a laser; (ii) the missile detects the laser reflected off the target; (iii) after detecting the reflected laser, the missile emits a second signal, such as a LADAR signal, to designate the target; (iv) the missile tracks the so-designated target; (v) the designator detects the LADAR signal reflected off the target; and (vi) in response to detecting the reflected LADAR signal, the designator stops the designation of the target. This may enable the designator to perform other tasks, while the missile tracks and engages the target.

  • Patent number: 10083409
Abstract: Techniques and system configurations for tracking customers and employees in a commercial environment such as a retail store are described herein. Customer devices that are operated by an associated customer may be tracked to determine customer shopping activities in a retail store, and to obtain promotions or affect targeted results based on the customer's activity and a profile associated with the customer. Employee devices that are operated by an associated employee also may be tracked to identify employee activities and manage the interactions that occur with customers in the retail environment. In-store activities and interactions accordingly may be enhanced as a result of advertising, marketing, and analytics derived from the tracked activities.

  • Patent number: 10084606
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for facilitating the generating of digital identity documents. A system receives a selection and initialization of properties (e.g., identity attributes, document type, alternate views, an acquisition uniform resource locator (URL)) to be used in a digital identity document (e.g., driver's license). The system then builds a template using the selected properties. The system may then present a list of built templates to a user/verifier to be used in generating a corresponding digital identity document. Upon receiving the selected template, the system provides the acquisition URL associated with the selected template to the user/verifier to be used by the user/verifier to request the corresponding digital identity document from the issuer. After receiving the digital identity document constructed by the issuer from the issuer, the system delivers the received digital identity document to the user/verifier.
