  • Patent number: 6042827
Abstract: Novel compositions and methods are described for stimulating a patient's immune system to tumor cells which bear a gp72 tumor-associated antigen and thereby eliciting a tumoricidal effect. Anti-idiotypic human monoclonal antibodies and idiotopic regions thereof to primary antibodies which bind selectively to an antigenic determinant of gp72 are provided to mediate the humoral and cellular components of the patient's immune system. The immunogenic agents find use both in vivo and in vitro.

  • Patent number: 5091962
Abstract: A plurality of individual frames or stampings provided in a sheet strip material by a stamping device are passed in proximity to a sensing device. As each individual frame or stamping is passed in proximity to the sensing device, the sensing device provides a voltage signal to a controller. The voltage signal is proportional to the amount of, or mass of, metallic material in each frame or stamping and the distance between the frame or stamping and the sensing device. The controller generates an individual waveform from the voltage signal for each frame passed in proximity to the sensing device. Each individual waveform is a function of the position of the movable portion of the stamping device for one cycle. As the plurality of individual frames are passed in proximity to the sensing device, a plurality of individual waveforms are generated within the controller. The waveforms are compared within the controller to detect a deviation between waveforms.

  • Patent number: 4256795
Abstract: A heat transfer comprising a temporary support and a label carried on the support. The label comprises a layer of a polyurethane resin system which includes a polyurethane obtained by reaction of a diphenyl isocyanate, a free glycol and a polyester either of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is an alkylene radical of 2 to 8 carbon atoms and R.sup.1 is an alkylene radical of 4 to 10 carbon atoms or of the formula ##STR2## wherein R.sup.11 is an alkylene radical of 4 to 8 carbon atoms. The polyurethane resin system further includes a cross-linking agent and a catalyst so that when the label is placed in contact with an article to be marked and subjected to heat and pressure, the resin system is converted to an inert insoluble and wear resistant form and a substantially permanent marking is produced on the article.
