  • Publication number: 20240283033
Abstract: A method for testing a battery component for leakage includes generating a sample from a battery component storing electrolyte using a Fourier Transform infrared (FT-IR) spectrometer, comparing absorbance levels of the sample at N predetermined frequencies to N predetermined thresholds, respectively, where N is an integer greater than one; and selectively detecting at least one of an electrolyte leak and generating an electrolyte concentration estimate in response to the comparison. The battery component is selected from a group consisting of a battery cell, a battery module, and a battery pack.

  • Patent number: 11636162
Abstract: A document review system is configured to quickly provide search results for large amounts of documents. Ontology templates are used to generate objects and links based on the documents. Users can view documents, and linked objects and object properties can be displayed. An index assisted search can be performed to determine the linked objects and object properties. A supplemental search can be performed on a second database that tracks modifications to the documents or objects. The modifications in the second database can be periodically written to the first database, and the index can be rebuilt. The user experience can be free of slow searches and slow index rebuilds.

  • Publication number: 20190364036
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates systems, apparatus, and methods for security devices, in particular, low-power, security devices and other devices. The devices typically connect to the Internet or other networks only on an intermittent, event-based basis, typically by cellular modem. The invention meets a need for security devices, as well as other devices, that can connect to the Internet and other networks but that are low-power and/or intermittently connected to networks such as the Internet on an intermittent and/or on demand basis. This renders them more secure, less susceptible to hacking and other attacks, less prone to continuously gathering data that a user might consider to be superfluous and/or invasive in terms of data collected, and can make them low-power, thus allowing them to run on battery for long periods of time.
