  • Patent number: 6481013
Abstract: Apparatus for distributing radio frequency (RF) modulated broadcast television signals from a broadcast signal source to networked appliances connected to the source through a plurality of single conductor coaxial cables, simultaneously with distributing unmodulated digital signals and RF modulated video signals exchanged between the networked appliances over the same network coaxial cables.

  • Patent number: 5993089
Abstract: An alphanumeric data entry system for chordic keyboards permits the entry of vowels with the thumb and digits of the left hand and the entry of consonants with the thumb and digits of the right hand in combination with vowel chords from the left hand. Only the thumb, index, middle and ring digits of the left and right hands, respectively, are necessary for manipulation of 2 four-key sets. The keyboard can either be a conventional side-by-side keyboard or, alternatively, an 8 dot braille keyboard in which the two sets are arranged in two rows in a substantially parallel relationship to each other. The number mode is initiated by depressing all four digits of the right hand and then entering numbers beginning with the ring digit of the left hand as the lowest integer and proceeding in a reverse binary fashion from left to right with the numbers 0 through 9 entered by the left hand.

  • Patent number: 5884794
Abstract: A transportable cargo container for transporting bulk volumes of cargo, some of which may be hazardous material, including: a rectangular floor member and roof member having the same dimensions; an opening in the roof member for the introduction of the cargo; a support channel attached to the roof member for increasing the structural strength of the roof member; and wall members extending therebetween having lengths the same as the floor member; where the floor, roof, and wall members are attached by continuous-seal welds; a hatch member for each of the openings in the roof member for sealing the openings; a flexible gasket positioned around the perimeter of the side of the hatch most proximate to the roof member for preventing leakage of the cargo out of the hatch when closed; a door located in an end wall for the removal of the cargo; a latch attached to a central portion of the door for sealing the door; where the latch comprises an extendible wedge member for engagement with a portion of the wall member i

  • Patent number: 5777583
Abstract: The antenna is a hybrid microstrip and reflector antenna having a planar patch antenna mounted to an upper surface of an insulated planar substrate. The substrate is coupled to a ground plane by one or more insulated couplers so as to form an airgap therebetween. A coaxial cable connectable to a transceiver is coupled to the bottom surface of the ground plane at the outer conductor thereof and the inner conductor is coupled to a feed pin which passes through the ground plane and protrudes through the surface of the patch. The feed pin is secured to the patch by soldering.

  • Patent number: 4095126
Abstract: The invention covers an amplifier circuit in which the output is limited in either polarity. Normally, a part of the output voltage is fed back to the input to maintain linearity but when the output reaches a maximum or minimum value, any further departure is amplified and fed back to the input circuit to neutralize the part of input signals which is outside of the range to be amplified. The feedback amplifier can be designed to initiate limiting at any desired output voltages and the positive and negative output limit voltages can be asymmetric with respect to the quiescent output voltage.
