  • Publication number: 20070265722
Abstract: A method of modeling yield for semiconductor products includes determining expected faults for each of a plurality of library elements by running a critical area analysis on each of the library elements, and assessing, from the critical area analysis, an expected number of faults per unit area, and comparing the same to actual observed faults on previously manufactured semiconductor products. Thereafter, the expected number of faults for each library element is updated in response to observed yield. A database is established, which includes the die size and expected faults for each of the library elements. Integrated circuit product die size is estimated, and library elements to be used to create the integrated circuit die are selected. Fault and size data for each of the selected library elements are obtained, the adjusted estimated faults for each of the library elements are summed, and estimated yield is calculated.

  • Publication number: 20050083741
Abstract: Autorun functionality is incorporated into an integrated circuit memory device such as any USB peripheral, which has a memory component interfaced to a USB microcontroller. This provides autorun of one or more executables or application installers from a memory component with a USB interface without an intermediate hardware-based autorun feature. USB peripheral devices internally include a USB microcontroller that performs the functionality associated with identifying the device to a host computing device, such as a personal computer. Autorun firmware is embedded into the USB microcontroller. The autorun firmware enables autorun of an installable or executable application stored on the memory component of the USB device. The firmware acts as bridge component translating all commands and interactions between a host PC and the memory component.

  • Publication number: 20050004943
Abstract: A search engine and a method achieve timeliness of documents returned in a search result by a relevancy feedback mechanism driven by the frequency in which a URL is returned in recent searches. The relevancy feedback mechanism includes one or more random processes which determine whether or not a cached or indexed web page associated with a URL in the search result should be refreshed. In addition, the random processes also determine whether or not hyperlinks in the cached or indexed web page should be followed to access related web pages. Accesses of web pages resulting from the operations of the random processes are used to update any document index maintained by the search engine. Relevancy scoring functions implemented in look-up tables are also disclosed. A more accurate relevancy scoring function is achieved using a lexicon based on anchortexts of extracted hyperlinks of web documents.

  • Patent number: 6577705
Abstract: Method and system for analyzing local composition and structure of a compound having one or more non-zero gradients in concentration for one or more selected constituents in a selected direction. A beam of X rays having representative energy E is received by a mono-capillary or poly-capillary device and is directed at a selected small region of the compound. A portion of the X rays is diffracted at the selected region by one or more constituents of the compound, at each of two or more diffraction angles relative to a selected surface or lattice plane(s) of the compound; and the diffracted portion of X rays for each of these diffraction angles is received and analyzed at an X-ray detector. A portion of the X rays excites fluorescence radiation that is received by a fluorescence detector to estimate the relative concentrations in a compound having two or more constituents. Fluorescence X rays and diffraction X rays can be detected at each desired translational position and rotation for a target site.

  • Publication number: 20030050790
Abstract: A business card processing system, which includes a data-extracting module and an appending module. The data-extracting module analyzes a business card file and extracts object data from the business card file. The appending module appends a corresponding field name to the object data, so that a customer can modify the object data with reference to the corresponding field name via a network, and preview a network image file transformed from the object data via the network. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the data-extracting module and the appending module are macro language program modules in an image processing software.

  • Patent number: 5857364
Abstract: A computer enclosure has a front bezel with two doors and a two-way lock mechanism controlling the locking of the doors. The swinging ends of the doors meet at a central portion of the bezel where the lock mechanism is located. The lock mechanism includes a guide plate located at the rear of the bezel having two guide channels that receive the bolts of the lock mechanism. A lock extends through the guide plate, and its rotatable barrel attaches to a cam plate at the rear of the bezel. The cam plate has two slots, each engaging one of the bolts. The bolts slide between withdrawn and extended positions in response to urging forces from the edges of the slots as the cam plate rotates in response to the turning of the lock, thus locking and unlocking the doors.
