  • Patent number: 11055711
Abstract: A payment card security system includes a payment card provider account system communicatively coupled to a payment card transaction device and a mobile device. The payment card transaction device sends an indication that a payment card is being used to perform a transaction. The payment card provider account system includes processors that receive the indication that the payment card is being used to perform the transaction from the payment card transaction device. The processors also send a notification indicating that the payment card is being used to perform the transaction. The processors further enable authorization of the transaction via the mobile device. In this manner, the payment card security system may prevent or reduce the occurrence of suspicious transactions as they are occurring, rather than waiting until after they have occurred.

  • Publication number: 20200407181
Abstract: A center-alignment apparatus for use in an ATM has a transport mechanism to transport a document into the ATM. One or more plates operable in tandem to move the document toward a centerline of a path the document is to travel. Edge-detection sensor(s) on the plate sense an edge of the document when the plate(s) is moved toward the centerline. A translate/rotate mechanism translates and rotates the document while the translate/rotate mechanism transversely moves the document toward the center until another edge-detection sensor detects an edge of the document to create a parallel-aligned document. The control logic controls the plate(s) to centers the parallel-aligned document about the centerline to create a centered document.

  • Publication number: 20200263373
Abstract: A method of resurfacing a length of roadway or other paved surface having markers thereon includes covering the markers with respective marker covers, applying a coating material to the road and the marker covers, then removing the covers. The marker covers mask the markers from the coating material. An inside dimension of the marker covers should approximate the widest outside dimension of the markers. The inside height of the marker cover can be higher than the height the marker extends over the surface. The cover should rest on the surface and not on the marker, for preferred masking and stability. The weight and shape of the covers should permit them to stay in place despite various disrupting forces. After coating, the covers can be removed or crushed in place.

  • Patent number: 10710827
Abstract: An embodiment includes an apparatus in an ATM to transport a document. The apparatus includes a feed wheel, a stripping tire, a clutch outer-hub and a clutch inner-hub. The feed wheel may be rotated by a first-rotational driver to move the document in a forward direction while the stripping tire is rotated by movable contact with the feed wheel. The clutch inner-hub prevents the stripping tire from rotating in a direction to cause the document to move in a reverse direction when the first-rotational driver rotates the feed wheel. Alternatively, the stripping tire is rotated by a second-rotational driver to move the document in the reverse direction when the feed wheel is not rotated by a first-rotational driver while the clutch outer-hub prevents the stripping tire from rotating in a direction to cause the document to move in the forward direction.
