  • Patent number: 6669394
Abstract: An attachment for attaching the upper end of a swing device to a raised top bar. The attachment includes a pair of arcuate slide sections having opposite ends in mating engagement to form a circular slide, a U-bolt having a pair of parallel threaded end segments connected by a curved bridging portion slidably engaged in the slide, a generally V-shaped saddle bracket whose arms have first ends connected by a saddle, spaced-apart second ends containing through holes for receiving the end segments of the U-bolt and a pair of opposing sliders projecting from the bracket arms for slidably engaging in the slide, and at least one nut for threadedly engaging an end segment of the U-bolt. The attachment enables a chain or other swing suspension device that is secured to the bracket to pivot 360° around the top bar.

  • Patent number: 5364312
Abstract: A kit for assembling wood legs to form an A-frame to support the end of a cross beam for a children's play gym includes a trapezoidal frame bracket to connect the upper ends of the legs to each other and to the cross beam and a special frame brace for reinforcing that connection which will accommodate a tubular metal cross beam or a cross beam consisting of a single board or a plurality of boards. The frame brace has a generally rectangular top wall and a pair of laterally spaced apart side walls extending down from the top wall at an angle such that the side walls have more or less the same slope as the side edges of the frame bracket. Portions of the frame brace top wall define a first set of holes spaced apart along the longitudinal centerline of the top wall, there being two such holes in the first set and a second set of holes containing at least two holes spaced along the top wall on each side of that centerline.

  • Patent number: 4974841
Abstract: A basketball goal assembly for mounting on a door frame, door, column or the like in which a support member, such as a backboard, having a hoop secured thereto is height adjustable relative to the floor. The support member, which may be a backboard, includes parallel slots formed adjacent to opposed sides thereof so that it may be frictionally slidably mounted to the door or the like by threading a strap through the slots and attaching the strap ends to the door. U-shaped brackets adapted to engage with opposed edges of a door frame, door or the like may be used to attach the strap ends to the door. A goal including basketball hoop is pivotally secured to the support member or backboard. The installed goal assembly permits friction restrained movement of the hoop to any number of vertical positions along the mounting surface, while frictionally maintaining the hoop in a fixed vertical position during normal use.

  • Patent number: 4621826
Abstract: A knock-down tricycle has its main structural parts made of stamped metal or molded components which are relatively inexpensive to fabricate and which, when disassembled, occupy a minimum volume allowing the tricycle to be shipped in a knocked-down condition in a minimum size package. The various components of the tricycle can be assembled easily using simple tools and, when assembled, they form a tricycle which is unusually strong and sturdy.

  • Patent number: 4478410
Abstract: A swing is composed of a flexible strap-like seat formed at its underside with integral lengthwise tubes adjacent its front and rear edges. A pair of chains extend through the tubes. Corresponding first ends of the chains are releasably connected by clips to the opposite chain lengths at locations thereon spaced from the opposite ends of said seat so as to form hangers for maintaining the seat in a level gently curved condition. Corresponding second ends of said chains are suspended from an overhead support.

  • Patent number: 4447093
Abstract: A wheel is composed of a rigid plastic inner section forming the wheel hub and rim and a resilient plastic tire section encircling the rim. A key formed integrally with the rim extends radially outward therefrom and interlockingly projects into the tire so as to mechanically connect the tire to the rim all around the wheel. The key can be formed with axially extending portions spaced radially outboard of the rim and terminating flush with the outer surface of the tire section so as to provide colored side wall decorations at one or both sides of the wheel.
