  • Publication number: 20050060515
Abstract: A multi-tiered lookup table is used to progressively map a virtual address to a specific control word that facilitates resolution of the virtual address for a translation lookaside buffer (TLB) miss. In one embodiment, the control word has a compressed and efficiently encoded image of the TLB hardware register data. The control word is accessed with or without a level of indirection in various embodiments. In some embodiments, the control word provides all information needed to decode the majority of memory blocks, or points to a third level for special blocks.

  • Publication number: 20040178661
Abstract: The present invention concerns an apparatus for attaching a part, such as a trim component, to a surface of a vehicle body. The apparatus includes an elongated flange adapted to be attached to and extend outwardly from the body surface. The flange includes a head portion connected to a body portion and the head portion has a greater width than the body portion. The apparatus also includes an elongated carrier adapted to be attached to a part. The carrier has a body with a generally C-shaped profile extending between opposed edges, and a flexible projection extending from each edge of the carrier body, the projections extending toward one another to define an opening therebetween. The opening has a width less than the width of the flange head. When the flange body portion is attached to the surface of the vehicle body and the carrier opening is aligned with the flange head portion, a force is then applied to the carrier and the projections deflect, permitting the flange head portion to pass therebetween.

  • Patent number: 6534277
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods for identifying compounds that can reduce immune rejection, for example, transplant- or autoimmune disorder-related immune rejection. The present invention is based, in part, on the discovery, demonstrated herein, that immune rejection can be monitored by determining the amount of particular members of the Jak/Stat signal transduction pathway present within an affected tissue. The present invention is further based, in part, on the discovery, demonstrated herein, that immune rejection can be reduced and tolerance can be induced by modulating the amount of these particular members of the Jak/Stat signal transduction pathway present, expressed or active within an affected tissue. In particular, the results demonstrate that immune rejection can be monitored by determining the amount of mRNA or protein of Stat1, Stat3, Stat4, Stat6, SOCS1, or SOCS3 present, e.g., in an affected tissue.

  • Patent number: 4055788
Abstract: A motor control circuit is arranged to provide selected control signals for operating a motor to rotate a motor shaft in a predetermined direction until the motor control circuit provides a high frequency control signal for substantially stopping motor operation.
