Publication number: 20180101913Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for enhancing the information value of data networks. Consistent with disclosed embodiments, in large datasets, automated linking between data entries is facilitated by configuration and application of one or more entropic filters to the data. A computer system separates the data into groups based on the uniqueness of information carried by the data, then determines an entropy value for each group. Based on a predetermined threshold value, the system filters out data entries that have low entropy values and thus low relevance. The system automatically generates prospective links among the filtered data entries, and provides the network of links to another system for further analysis.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 7, 2017Publication date: April 12, 2018Applicant: Capital One Financial CorporationInventors: Pierrick BURGAIN, William A. Publication number: 20180075438Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide systems and methods for transacting at a local financial service provider device using a mobile device. The system may include one or more memory devices storing instructions and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to receive transaction data associated with a transaction request received from a mobile device associated with a customer. The transaction data may include a customer identifier. Additionally, the instructions may cause the processor to receive authentication data associated with the customer. The authentication data may be provided by the customer operating the mobile device and without requiring the customer to input data directly at the local financial service provider device. The one or more processors may further determine whether the received authentication data authenticates the transaction, authorize the transaction, and provide an indication to the local financial service provider device to perform the transaction.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 16, 2017Publication date: March 15, 2018Inventors: Mohammed Zafar Iqbal, Kevin Rosengren, Max Doerfler, Brian DeLuca, Anurag Joshi, James Dillon, Richie Hollins, Jamie Warder, William A.
