  • Publication number: 20200092260
Abstract: A management request is received by a system for carrying out one or more data management operations (including, but not limited to, adding data, merging data or searching for data). The management request is received from a requesting entity. The system comprises a representation database, which comprises at least one secure element. The at least one secure element is a representation of at least one dataset containing confidential data elements stored in at least one database owned or operated by a third party entity. The management request is processed by performing at least one operation, for example by a processing component in the system, on the representation database. In a third step, a processing result is provided, which comprises any suitable information or data content. The processing result is dependent on the contents of the management request.

  • Publication number: 20190365698
Abstract: Disclosed are methods useful for the therapeutic treatment of cancerous solid tumors by the administration of an antineoplastic agent, wherein the antineoplastic agent resides at the tumor site exposing the tumor to the antineoplastic agent for a sustained amount of time sufficient to stimulate the endogenous immune system of the subject resulting in the production of tumoricidal cells and infiltration of the tumoricidal cells in and around the tumor site at a level sufficient to treat the tumor. The methods include local administration methods such as topical application, pulmonary administration, intratumoral injection, and intraperitoneal injection.

  • Patent number: 10415375
Abstract: An apparatus for sensing acoustic waves below a surface of the earth includes an optical fiber disposed below the surface of the earth and having a series of sensing units along the optical fiber with each sensing unit having three or more reflectors and an optical interrogator in optical communication with the optical fiber. The reflectors in each sensing unit are positioned to provide a linearized response that approximates a sawtooth wave better than a sinusoidal wave to sense the acoustic waves in a desired dynamic range. The optical interrogator is configured to transmit an input light signal into the optical fiber and receive a reflected light signal from the optical fiber due to the input light signal in order to measure a strain on each sensing unit due to interaction with the acoustic waves and to determine a location of the sensing unit corresponding to the sensed strain.

  • Patent number: 10281986
Abstract: Methods of providing user accessibility to an electronic device are provided. Methods include receiving a physical input via at least one user input device in a user interface, generating, in the user interface, a sensor output signal responsive to receiving the physical input from the user, and interpreting the sensor output signal as a gesture input signal that that is received by the electronic device. The gesture input signal is operative to cause the electronic device to perform a function corresponding to a gesture that is physically applied to the electronic device.

  • Patent number: 10208586
Abstract: An embodiment of a method of measuring temperatures includes: taking distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) measurement data by transmitting interrogation signals into an optical fiber disposed in an environment of interest, and receiving reflected signals over a selected time period from the optical fiber; processing the DAS measurement data to separate components of the DAS data associated with changes in temperature; and generating a temperature change profile for the selected time period based on the separated components of the DAS data.
