  • Patent number: 10597268
Abstract: A jack stand apparatus enables operators to screw adjust a load support column relative to a column support base for fully completing load-bearing distances between loads and opposed support surfacing, and thus improving safety of jack stand applications. The various embodiments of the jack stand apparatus according to the present invention may all be said to comprise a shaft support structure, a shaft construction, a pawl assembly, and a screw mechanism. In the preferred embodiment, the shaft construction is a screw type element and includes external threads. A pawl element is cooperable with the external threads, and the screw shaft construction is telescopically positionable relative to the shaft support structure for engaging an overlying load. The pawl element is engagable with the helical threads for preventing downward movement of the screw shaft construction relative to the shaft support structure for supporting loads thereupon.

  • Publication number: 20170348833
Abstract: A ratchet wrench system and kit enable users thereof to enhance grip and mechanical advantage in applying torque to either (a) rotate rotary fasteners or (b) prevent rotary fastener rotation. The ratchet wrench system and kit include at least one ratchet wrench assembly and at least one ratchet interface. The ratchet wrench assembly has a ratchet head and a lever arm. The ratchet head has a male side and a female side. The female side includes both deep and shallow sections. Long and short ratchet interface elements both include a male interface end and a female interface end. The male and female interface ends are respectively matable with the female and male sides of the ratchet wrench assembly. The long and short ratchet interfaces are interchangeably matable with the ratchet wrench assembly for enabling a secondary wrench to grip and enhance mechanical advantage via the ratchet wrench assembly.

  • Patent number: 7096836
Abstract: A tubular mount system for a rocker arm which includes a rigid clamp at the base of the engine head is disclosed. Included is a pedestal mount/adjuster with external threads engageable with internal threads of a trunnion assembly cooperatively associated with a rocker arm whereby the rocker arm can be raised or lowered by turning the pedestal mount/adjuster, rotatably received by a rocker stud. This eliminates the need for an adjuster stud and nut on the rocker arm and a pillow block to hold the device together.

  • Patent number: 6516761
Abstract: Disclosed is an overhead rocker cam valve operating device for an internal combustion engine and which is particularly useful for race cars or high performance automobiles. The device includes a rocker cam and connecting fixed plate, the rocker cam arm being adjustable within a slot in the fixed plate to provide for more or less power. Hence, the rocker cam arm can be positioned closest to the cam lobe to provide for performance or speed, or can be positioned farther from the cam lobe to provide for less power or economy.

  • Patent number: 6273040
Abstract: Disclosed is an overhead rocker cam valve operating device for an internal combustion engine which is particularly useful for race cars or high performance automobiles. The device includes a rocker cam and connecting link, the link being adjustable within the rocker cam arm to provide for more of less power. Hence, the connecting link can be positioned closest to the cam lobe to provide for more power, performance and speed, or can be positioned farther from the cam lobe to provide for less power and fuel economy. The device can be made remotely adjustable by providing means engageable with the connecting link, such as a solenoid, whereby the link can be remotely positioned within the rocker cam arm.
