  • Patent number: 10990094
Abstract: Sensor information is collected from human driven vehicles which are driven in a given region. From the sensor information, a road condition is detected on a road segment, where the road condition has a sufficiently high likelihood of impairing autonomous vehicles in safely navigating through the one or more road segments. Information about the one or more road segments is communicated to the one or more autonomous vehicles.

  • Patent number: 10983520
Abstract: A system can analyze a live sensor view of a self-driving vehicle (SDV) in accordance with a safety threshold to detect objects of interest along a route and classify each detected object of interest. When the safety threshold is not met, the system can transmit a teleassistance inquiry using LIDAR data to a backend computing system. When a certainty threshold is not met for an object of interest, the system can transmit a different teleassistance inquiry using image data to the backend computing system.

  • Patent number: 10964009
Abstract: A method of detecting a potato virus in a crop image depicting at least one potato plant includes storing the crop image in a memory, identifying a first region of the crop image depicting potato plant leaves, identifying a plurality of edges within the first region, determining whether an image segment of the crop image within the first region satisfies one or more leaf creasing criteria symptomatic of leaf creasing caused by the virus based on the edges that are located within the image segment, determining whether the image segment satisfies one or more color criteria symptomatic of discoloration caused by the virus, and determining whether the segment displays symptoms of potato virus based on whether the image segment satisfies one or more of the leaf creasing criteria and the color criteria. A system and computer readable medium are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210088530
Abstract: A new, stable trimeric TNF? structure is disclosed with distorted symmetry which can bind to the TNFR1 receptor to attenuate signalling therefrom, which can be used in the treatment and/or prevention of diseases associated with the soluble TNF?/TNFR1 interaction. Membrane-bound TNF? is not affected in its ability to signal through TNFR2, and thus the new structure of TNF? may be used in therapies which do not significantly raise the risk of infection or malignancy.

  • Publication number: 20200393135
Abstract: An exhaust and air intake system for a direct vent fireplace. A low-profile manifold assembly is coupled to a direct vent fireplace and is configured to receive exhaust gases from the fireplace and expel the exhaust gases outside of the building in which the fireplace is located. The manifold assembly also takes in fresh air from outside of the building and provides the fresh air to the fireplace to use during combustion. The manifold assembly includes separate chambers for the exhaust gases and the fresh air so that the exhaust gases and the fresh air do not mix together within the manifold assembly. Several pressure reduction and equalization structures are incorporated into the manifold assembly to regulate the amount and pressure of fresh air provided to the fireplace.

  • Patent number: 10783476
Abstract: Examples provide a system for customizing remote interactions-related real-time assistance for trainees during training exercises. The system analyzes a first set of actions taken by a trainee during a first interaction using a set of recommended action criteria to generate an interaction score indicating a degree of conformity with recommended action criteria. The system analyzes a second set of actions taken by the trainee during a different second interaction. If the second set of actions are conforming or the interaction score is within an acceptable threshold range, the system continues to monitor the second interaction without providing assistance. If the second set of actions are non-conforming and the interaction score is within an unacceptable threshold range, the system provides real-time interaction assistance to the trainee, such as by outputting interaction recommendation instructions and/or assigning a more experience user to assist the trainee.

  • Patent number: 10723554
Abstract: Described in detail herein are methods and systems for an intake and transport system. A computing system can identify a physical object based on an attribute associated with the physical object. The computing system can determine a storage location of the physical object in the facility based on the attribute. In response identification of the physical object computing system can transmit an identifier to an autonomously controlled cart. The identifier corresponds to at least one of the attribute or the storage location. In response to receipt of the identifier activating an autonomously controlled cart can generate an indicator to indicate that the physical object is to be placed in the autonomously controlled cart. The autonomously controlled cart can autonomously navigate to the storage location in response to determining that the threshold capacity has been satisfied.

  • Publication number: 20200232638
Abstract: A steam generating system includes a furnace, a nozzle tip assembly for pulverized coal and primary air as well as means for conveying secondary air in the furnace. The nozzle according to the invention comprises a nozzle body (3) and several channels (5) being connected with the nozzle body, the channels are diverging from each other. At the exit faces (17) of the channels obstructions (13) are disposed to induce huge turbulences of the primary air when entering the furnace. Due to these turbulences the primary air and the entrained coal are mixed very well before being combusted in the furnace. This results in a better more effective combustion with reduced NOx- emissions.

  • Patent number: 10661555
Abstract: A doctor blade holder and adjustment mechanism that may be utilized with a flexographic printing system. The doctor blade holder and adjustment mechanism may utilize a constant displacement of the doctor blade against an anilox roller, rather than a constant force, to reduce ink build up on the back side of the doctor blade, and subsequently, intermittent dropping of the accumulated ink onto the post-shearing side of the anilox roller (“spitting”). The doctor blade holder and adjustment mechanism may provide adjustability of a combination of doctor blade pressure, angle and displacement.

  • Patent number: 10650630
Abstract: Methods are provided for authenticating a value article that includes a luminescent material. An exciting light source, an optical filter, a photodetector, a signal manipulation circuit, and an amplifier are provided. The luminescent material is exposed to light produced by the exciting light source. Radiation including light from the exciting light source and emitted radiation from the luminescent material is filtered using the optical filter to produce filtered radiation. The filtered radiation is detected using the photodetector to produce a detected radiation signal. The detected radiation signal is electronically manipulated using the signal manipulation circuit to reduce an effect of light from the exciting light source on an authentication determination based upon the detected radiation signal. The detected radiation signal is amplified with the amplifier after electronic manipulation to produce an amplified electronic signal.
