  • Patent number: 7002271
Abstract: A preassembled wiring terminal subassembly for use in a hybrid electro-mechanical transmission includes a plurality of wires and a plurality of wire terminals each defining a respective attachment hole and being operatively connected to a respective one of the plurality of wires. The subassembly also includes a plurality of conductive rods each defining a hole, and a plurality of threaded fasteners each extending through the attachment hole of a respective wire terminal and through the hole of a respective rod. The terminals, rods, and threaded fasteners are sufficiently interconnected for movement as a unit during transmission assembly to facilitate the establishment of an electrical connection between a control unit and one or more motor/generators.

  • Patent number: 5934436
Abstract: A power transmission has a parking pawl which is engageable with a toothed member on the transmission output shaft to prevent rotation of the output shaft when the parking pawl is set. The pawl is manipulated by a manual selector shaft and a detent plate. The detent plate is also drivingly connected with a transmission range selector valve through a pin which engages an annular groove in the selector valve. The pin is driven by a cam on the detent plate and is guided in a pair of longitudinal slots formed on the valve body which slidably houses the selector valve.

  • Patent number: H1623
Abstract: The present invention provides a bag thawer 10 for thawing at least one bag of frozen liquid. Generally, the frozen bags of liquid are I.V. bags 42 containing medical solutions. The bag thawer 10 provides an upper contact plate 12 sized to contain a first quantity of heat at room temperature and a lower contact plate 14 sized to contain a second quantity of heat at room temperature. The total heat contained in the upper and lower contact plates 12, 14 is sufficient to thaw the frozen I.V. bags 42 without applying additional heat to I.V. bag 42 or rewarming contact plates 12, 14. The upper and lower contact plates 12, 14 are hinged together by a hinge 16. The upper contact plate 12 is biased by spring 36 towards the lower contact plate 14. In one alternative embodiment, a pair of heaters 116, 118 are placed in contact with the contact plates 112, 114 to maintain the contact plates 112, 114 at approximately room temperature.
