  • Publication number: 20220239663
Abstract: Inter-party communications, such as telephony communications, virtual meeting communications, or messaging communications, are switched between clients while in progress. An inter-party communication may be detected at a first client. A channel may then be opened between the first client and a second client responsive to an operator initiating switching the inter-party communication from the first client to the second client. The inter-party communication may be switched from the first client to the second client using the channel while the inter-party communication remains in progress. The inter-party communication may then be continued at the second client.

  • Patent number: 11375012
Abstract: A method of determining feature usage on a set of storage systems deployed across multiple customer sites includes defining metrics related to the features of interest, and pushing the defined metrics to an AIM (Autonomous Infrastructure Module) of an operating system of each storage system. The AIM on each storage system collects data associated with the metrics from the operating system on the storage system. The collected data is aggregated and formatted by the AIM and then used to create an autonomous field telemetry report. Autonomous field telemetry reports are periodically forwarded on a communication network to an analytics engine. The analytics engine parses each autonomous field telemetry report to extract usage information related to the features of interest, loads the parsed data to PostgreSQL staging and historical databases, and uses the parsed data alone or in combination with the historical data to create analytics and visualizations of the analytics.

  • Publication number: 20220174985
Abstract: A method for capturing material extracted from biochar is provided comprising the steps of: (i) providing a biochar; (ii) contacting the biochar with an extraction media, where the extraction media causes the removal of residual compounds from the pores and surface of the biochar, creating a resulting extract comprised of the extraction media and removed compounds; and (iii) collecting the resulting extract. The method also can include other steps of extraction and purification. The method further comprises the step of applying the resulting extract to seeds, plants, soil, other agricultural products, or for use in other applications. A biochar having high levels of soluble signaling compounds is also provided, where the biochar is derived from a biomass source that together with predefined pyrolysis parameters produces resulting biochar having increased levels of soluble signaling compounds that are known to increase seed germination rates and early plant growth.

  • Patent number: 11351514
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a nozzle system for use in a microfluidic production application for producing at least one of particles, capsules or fibers. The system has a main body portion having a compressed fluid inlet and a core fluid inlet, and a plurality of parallel arranged core fluid nozzles that receive the core fluid and create a plurality of core fluid streams. At least one compressed fluid inlet associated with the main body channels compressed fluid to areas adjacent ends of the core fluid nozzles. An apertured plate having a plurality of apertures is arranged near the ends of the core fluid nozzles, with each aperture being uniquely associated with a single one of the core fluid nozzles. The compressed fluid acts on the core fluid streams exiting the core fluid nozzles to help create, with the apertures, at least one of core fluid droplets or core fluid fibers from the core fluid streams.

  • Patent number: 11326620
Abstract: A stator vane includes an airfoil having an airfoil shape. The airfoil shape has a nominal profile substantially in accordance with Cartesian coordinate values of X, Y and Z set forth in one of Table I, Table II, Table III, Table IV, Table V, Table VI, Table VII, Table VIII, Table IX, Table X, Table XI, or Table XII. The Cartesian coordinate values of X, Y and Z are non-dimensional values from 0% to 100% convertible to dimensional distances expressed in a unit of distance by multiplying the Cartesian coordinate values of X, Y and Z by a scaling factor of the airfoil in the unit of distance. The X and Y values, when connected by smooth continuing arcs, define airfoil profile sections at each Z value. The airfoil profile sections at Z values are joined smoothly with one another to form a complete airfoil shape.

  • Publication number: 20220061796
Abstract: A disposable stethoscope comprising a headset and a chestpiece assembly configured to be acoustically connected to the headset for conveying sound to the headset. The chestpiece assembly comprises a diaphragm, a chestpiece body, and a retention ring. The chestpiece body comprises a drum including a peripheral annular rim and a central hole. The diaphragm comprises a peripheral edge margin configured to be positioned on the drum such that the peripheral edge margin of the diaphragm is supported on the rim. The retention ring comprises a ring portion extending circumferentially about a ring axis and at least one latch arm extending along the ring axis. The retention ring is configured to be positioned on the chestpiece body to sandwich the peripheral edge margin of the diaphragm between the rim and the ring portion and the arms latch with the chestpiece body to attach the retention ring to the chestpiece body.

  • Publication number: 20220053841
Abstract: Bras for high impact, high support activities are provided. A bra comprises a band that wraps around a torso. The band includes first and second cup regions, and a channel that runs below the collective cup regions. A gore is formed above the channel and between the respective cup regions, adjoining the respective cup regions. A molded cradle is fitted into the channel. For each cup region, a tessellated encapsulating bra cup is fitted therein. Each tessellated encapsulating bra cup includes a plurality of tiles. Respective tiles in the plurality of tiles that are further away from the cradle are larger in size than respective tiles in the plurality of tiles that are closer to the cradle. Each tessellated encapsulating bra cup has a generally concave first inner face and a generally convex first outer face. The tessellated encapsulating bra cups collectively contribute cantilevered support to the bra.

  • Patent number: 11215417
Abstract: A firearm with safety mechanism in one embodiment includes a barrel supported by a housing, at least one cartridge-receiving chamber in communication with a bore of the barrel, and a rotatable hammer. The safety mechanism includes a biased safety component, which may be a blocking pin in one embodiment, mounted to and rotatable with the hammer. When the firearm is exposed to an abnormal impact force caused by bumping or dropping the firearm, the safety component changes position and interacts with a blocking feature on the hammer pivot pin to stop or delay the motion of the hammer in a manner which prevents discharging the firearm. The blocking feature may be a notch in one embodiment. Rotating the hammer between rearward cocked and forward firing positions alternatingly aligns or misaligns the blocking pin with the notch, respectively.
