    Abstract: A system and method for transmitting screenshots from a multifunction peripheral to detail pages for downloadable applications on an application store includes a selectively enabled key on the multifunction peripheral that allows a user to capture a screenshot of an application that is executing on the multifunction peripheral, and a controller of the multifunction peripheral that is configured to generate the screenshot and metadata identifying the executing application associated with the screenshot. The controller sends the screenshot and the metadata to the application store which uses the metadata to determine which detail page is associated with the executing application. The application store then adds the screenshot to the identified detail page.

    Abstract: A system and method for concurrent scanning of individual documents includes an intelligent controller having a processor and memory and a scanner that generates an electronic image from a group of hard copy receipts disposed on its platen, face down in any orientation such that there is a spacing between them. The platen receives a plurality separated paper receipts on its surface and the controller generates a contiguous area mask corresponding to a perimeter of each of the receipts. The controller then generates a unique image file corresponding to a surface image of each of the receipts in accordance with this mask. Image files for the receipts are placed through optical character recognition and the resulting character data is used to orient each corresponding receipt image. Character information is also used to generate expense reports.

A scanner of the multifunction peripheral includes first and second document feed modes. A user interface includes a display, such as a touchscreen display. A first sensor detects a presence of a first tangible document in the first feed mode. A second sensor detects a second document in the second feed mode. The controller enables the first feed mode to complete a first scan operation and generates a digital image file comprising images of the first document. The controller generates a prompt on the display for a selection of a continued scan operation. If selected, the second feed mode completes a second scan operation on the second document and generates the digital image file to include images of the second document.
