Abstract: In virtualized environments a method of determining authorization to a resource cannot use a hardware specific identifier, such as a MAC address. As a result upgrading a virtual host may cause licenses associated with that host to be invalid, even though the upgraded virtual host should be authorized. Authentication methods and systems are disclosed such that a key may be shared with a second host along with a license file and, provided at least the second host has a key associated with its system identifier and a key associated with a license file, access to a licensed resource may be authorized.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing an enterprise license registrar anchor point are provided. More particularly, an enterprise license registrar is established within an enterprise system using license files and a certificate provided by an external license authority. The enterprise license registrar operates within the enterprise system to maintain a record of allocations of license rights by license manager servers to application instances. The enterprise license registrar logs the report data. The log files are digitally signed or encrypted to prevent tampering by the enterprise system, and are delivered to the external license authority, without requiring a persistent connection between the external license authority and the enterprise system. The enterprise system can comprise a virtualized environment.

Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems are provided such that enterprise network administrators may create and display a dial plan management arrangement using enterprise canonical format and number normalization and friendly display tables. A solution is provided for creating and managing call routing simply and graphically using enterprise canonical format rather than through a legacy routing scheme using of a series of tables with no graphic depiction and multiple formats. By using a single format with a graphical representation when administering dial planning, implementation and management are significantly simpler and more efficient.

More particularly, the administration of application instances or other assets through the centralized management system results in the initiation of a license validation process by the central management system in cooperation with a license server. The system management application providing centralized asset management and the license server performing license validation are co-resident on a central management server. The availability of assets requiring a license is implemented through asset administration data maintained by the central management server, to indicate the existence of a required license, where the license server indicates that the required license is available. Access to an asset is denied where the license server indicates the absence of a required license to the system management server.

Abstract: A bracket designed to reduce mounting system failures was designed, having a mounting surface and an angled clip on the lower edge of the mounting surface providing backward pressure for any hardware mounted onto the bracket. The sides of the mounting surface may include cut-outs for aligning multiple brackets. An optional screw-mounting system comprising corresponding holes in the clip, or a tab-mounting system, provide for connecting accessories to the bracket. A cornice centered around a spine element mounted to the bracket. The cornice has a front face and returns attached to either side of the front face, forming the structure. The spine is designed to fit into a plurality of brackets bent to provide backward pressure on the cornice, pulling it toward a mounting surface. The cornice is mounted by fixing the brackets onto a mounting surface and placing the spine of the cornice onto the brackets.

Abstract: Methods and systems for allocating licenses to devices are provided. More particularly, the devices included in a system may each require a license having a release value that is equal to or greater than the release value of the device in order to be fully operational. Upon the unregistration of a device, the highest cost or value license that can be made available while maintaining proper registration of the remaining registered devices is freed. More particularly, the difference between the number of devices registered and the licenses used is calculated for each release value. A variance for each release value, beginning with the least cost or lowest release value license and working towards the highest cost or value license is then calculated. The highest cost license that can be released is equal to the license value for which the calculated variance is equal to zero.
