  • Patent number: 6390007
Abstract: A drain plug system for a boat which has a sleeve in the drain opening and an expandable drain plug to be disposed in the sleeve. A retainer is connected to the drain plug. The retainer is disposed within the sleeve and has ends which engage the inner side of the sleeve when the drain plug is contracted so that the drain plug is prevented from being lost.

  • Patent number: 5159729
Abstract: A tie-down device for securing and holding down cargo and the like. The device includes a turnbuckle. A strap is provided having a first end and a second end that are secured to the turnbuckle, so as to loop back on itself and defining a loose strap and a stationary strap. A first hook is carried by the turnbuckle. A second hook is carried by the strap between the loose and stationary straps. Rotation of the turnbuckle in a first tightening direction wraps the loose strap around the stationary strap, shortening the loose strap for tightening the device and securing and holding down the cargo and the like and also locking the loose strap in place. Rotation of the turnbuckle in a second loosening direction unwraps the loose strap from around the stationary strap, lengthening the loose strap for untightening the device and unsecuring and releasing the cargo and the like.

  • Patent number: 5129956
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the aqueous cleaning of a printed circuit board having surface mounted components assembled thereon. The invention involves a heated aqueous solution sprayed under high pressure through a helically-vaned nozzle that is moving rotationally about the plane of a moving printed circuit board. The apparatus accomplishes a thorough cleaning of all components and areas of the printed circuit board with the use of a water based cleaning solution.

  • Patent number: 4930657
Abstract: A drain plug, which has a hollow cylindrical body, an expander assembly within the body and a manually manipulatable handle, is fabricated of a material such that the drain plug floats. The handle is connected to the expander assembly and when the handle is moved in a cam or rotational movement, the expander assembly is moved axially within the body. This axial movement expands the body of the drain plug such that the drain plug closes the drain opening and contracts the body of the drain plug for ease of removal from the drain opening. The expander assembly seals the end of the body and is secured within the body so it does not move when the handle is rotated.

  • Patent number: 4752019
Abstract: A combined dispensing head and gauge for indicating the quantity of material in a container is disclosed. The combined dispensing head and gauge is comprised of a one-piece dispensing head which includes a dispensing head conduit, fiducial marks adjacent to the dispensing head conduit for indicating the quantity of material present in the container, a sealing flange for sealing the dispensing head with respect to the container, and a chamber for receiving a movable indicator. The combined dispensing head and gauge is further comprised of a level responsive device such as a float responsive to the level of material in the container, and a movable indicator pointer received by the chamber adjacent to the fiducial marks for indicating the quantity of material present in the container. The indicator pointer is controlled by the float and is pivotally supported thereon. A material supply conduit is connected to the dispensing head conduit for conveying material in the container to the dispensing head conduit.

  • Patent number: 4061958
Abstract: The amplitude of the rectified voltage applied to the filter capacitor of a power supply is varied by selecting different taps in the secondary winding as a function of the output voltage and current so that the supply provides a wide range of operating voltages and currents in a minimum volume and at reduced cost.
