Abstract: A novel baby nipple assembly for use with a flexible drink pouch, wherein the baby nipple assembly generally comprises a mount subassembly (sometimes hereinafter referred to as simply “the mount” or “the disk”) for attachment to the flexible drink pouch, and a nipple subassembly (sometimes hereinafter referred to as simply “the nipple”) for connection to the mount subassembly, wherein the mount subassembly comprises a relatively large flat element for adhesion to an outside surface of the flexible drink pouch, and the nipple subassembly comprises (i) means for connection to the mount subassembly, (ii) a sharp tube for extending through the mount subassembly and puncturing the side wall of the flexible drink pouch, and (iii) a soft nipple in fluid communication with the sharp tube, whereby a baby or young child can suckle on the nipple and receive the beverage from the flexible drink pouch.

Abstract: A blood infusion and aspiration catheter has an annular lumen surrounding a central lumen. The annular lumen, whether used for infusion or aspiration, has a set of ports which are aligned along a circular circumference so that they intersect a common plane. That common plane is substantially perpendicular to the axis of the annular lumen. This structural arrangement avoids the compromise of heparin lock that occurs when the exit or entrance ports at the distal end of the annular lumen are circumferentially staggered. These ports in the annular lumen face radially outward to assure that port edges do not snag on tissue when the catheter is inserted.

Abstract: Resettable circuit interrupting devices, such as GFCI devices, that include a reset lockout mechanism, an independent trip mechanism and reverse wiring protection. A conical reset plunger is notched to force a successful test before reset.

Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, there are provided fully human monoclonal antibodies against secretory leukocyte protease inhibitor (SLPI) and antigen binding fragments thereof. Nucleotide sequences encoding and amino acid sequences comprising heavy and light chain immunoglobulin molecules are provided. The invention provides antibodies and antigen-binding fragments thereof specifically bind to SLPI; act to neutralize SLPI activity; and can modulate SLPI effects.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a wellbore power generation method includes causing a fluid to flow through a downhole turbine, and causing the turbine to rotate a generator. At least one of a turbine configuration and a flow rate of the fluid is selected to cause the downhole turbine to operate near its runaway speed, such that changes in load applied to the generator do not substantially affect a rotation rate of the downhole turbine.

Abstract: A method for minimizing handoff latencies when a handoff is performed in a wireless network. An access point (AP) or base station associated to a current wireless station (STA) allows information required for a reassociation to the STA to be propagated to handoff-capable neighboring APs or base stations. When the STA moves, a neighboring AP or base station performs the reassociation to the STA on the basis of context. When a handoff procedure is performed, the time taken to receive context of a corresponding STA is reduced, such that a fast handoff can be implemented.

Abstract: In a method and system for avoiding section collision for application server requests over a single database connection, the database server assigns query identifiers to each instance of the same cursor opened for the same processing level within an application, allowing multiple instances of the same cursor to be processed in parallel without section collision. The application server assigns a command source identifier to each statement sent over a single database connection to uniquely identify the application source of the statement. This applies for multiples of the same statement sent by different application sources within the same application, for a single statement containing multiple application sources, and for multiple statements from different applications multiplexed over a single database connection. These statements can be processed separately from and in parallel with the each other without section collision.

Abstract: An structure for electrically isolating a semiconductor device is formed by implanting dopant into a semiconductor substrate that does not include an epitaxial layer. Following the implant the structure is exposed to a very limited thermal budget so that dopant does not diffuse significantly. As a result, the dimensions of the isolation structure are limited and defined, thereby allowing a higher packing density than obtainable using conventional processes which include the growth of an epitaxial layer and diffusion of the dopants. In one group of embodiments, the isolation structure includes a deep layer and a sidewall which together form a cup-shaped structure surrounding an enclosed region in which the isolated semiconductor device may be formed. The sidewalls may be formed by a series of pulsed implants at different energies, thereby creating a stack of overlapping implanted regions.

The invention relates to the seeds of soybean cultivar S030157, to the plants of soybean S030157 and to methods for producing a soybean plant produced by crossing the cultivar S030157 with itself or another soybean variety. The invention further relates to hybrid soybean seeds and plants produced by crossing the cultivar S030157 with another soybean cultivar.

The antimicrobial compositions are aqueous-based and preferably contain an oxidizing agent as an antimicrobial agent. Abstract: A reduced visibility insect screening is described having a transmittance of at least about 0.75 and a reflectance of about 0.04 or less. In an alternative embodiment, an insect screening material includes screen elements having a diameter of about 0.005 inch (0.13 mm), having a bond strength greater than 5500 psi (40 mega Pascals), and having the same transmittance and reflectance limits. In another embodiment of the invention, a screening includes screen elements having a diameter of about 0.005 inch (0.1 mm) or less and a coating on the screen elements having a matte black finish, where the screening has the same transmittance and reflectance limits.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for web inspection utilize simultaneous capturing of reflected and transmitted light images for real-time merging of same. The reflected light and transmitted light image capturing systems are registered with each other in terms of the down-web and cross-web field being imaged. To allow for the simultaneous acquisition of reflected and transmitted light images, the imaged portion of the web is an unsupported span, and the web is tensioned to prevent sagging. The reflected light and transmitted light image capturing systems each include multiple cameras registered with each other in terms of down-web and cross-web imaging field, and the cameras for the transmitted light image capturing are aligned directly with the light source, which outputs light that is incident on the web at an angle.

Abstract: Methods, a lubricant composition, and a fuel composition for lubricating a two-stroke internal combustion engine include a lubricant composition that contains (A) an oil of lubricating viscosity, (B) an additive composition, and (C) a normally liquid solvent having a kinematic viscosity of less than 5 cSt at 100° C. The lubricant composition improves the cleanliness of a power valve of a two-stroke engine.

Abstract: A surgical instrument is adapted for applying a plurality of surgical fasteners to body tissue. The surgical instrument includes an anvil and a cartridge housing containing a plurality of surgical fasteners. The cartridge housing and anvil are relatively movable between a first spaced apart position and a second closed position. A firing mechanism is associated with the cartridge housing for ejecting the surgical fasteners from the cartridge housing to be driven against the anvil. A lockout mechanism interacts with the cartridge housing for activation and deactivation; the lockout mechanism preventing movement of the cartridge housing to its second closed position but permitting relative reapproximation movement of the cartridge housing and anvil, whereby reapproximation provides an indicator that the instrument is not malfunctioning.

The availability of client devices (118, 122, 126) associated with contact lists (528, 530, 532) are determined by a PTT controller (112) according to the content of messages from the client devices (118, 122, 126). New information regarding the availability of a client device associated with a contact list (528, 530, 532) is transmitted to relevant client devices (118, 122, 126) only when a change has occurred in the availability of a member. Likewise, a client device (118, 122, 126) notifies the PTT controller 112 of its availability only when a change occurs.
