Abstract: Method and system are provided for compensating for user hand tremors when using a hand-held electronic device having a user interface display. The method includes monitoring position data of a user's finger in relation to the user interface display over time as the finger approaches an element in the user interface display. A target element is determined by predicting an intended movement of the user's finger and the method dynamically enlarges the determined target element in the user interface display as the user's finger approaches the user interface display.

  • Publication number: 20200044087
Abstract: Sub-fin isolation schemes for gate-all-around (GAA) transistor devices are provided herein. In some cases, the sub-fin isolation schemes include forming one or more dielectric layers between each of the source/drain regions and the substrate. In some such cases, the one or more dielectric layers include material native to the gate sidewall spacers, for example, or other dielectric material. In other cases, the sub-fin isolation schemes include substrate modification that results in oppositely-type doped semiconductor material under each of the source/drain regions and in the sub-fin. The oppositely-type doped semiconductor material results in the interface between that material and each of the source/drain regions being a p-n or n-p junction to block the flow of carriers through the sub-fin. The various sub-fin isolation schemes described herein enable better short channel characteristics for GAA transistors (e.g.

  • Publication number: 20200042279
Abstract: Media content can be created and/or modified using a network-accessible platform. Scripts for content-based experiences could be readily created using one or more interfaces generated by the network-accessible platform. For example, a script for a content-based experience could be created using an interface that permits triggers to be inserted directly into the script. Interface(s) may also allow different media formats to be easily aligned for post-processing. For example, a transcript and an audio file may be dynamically aligned so that the network-accessible platform can globally reflect changes made to either item. User feedback may also be presented directly on the interface(s) so that modifications can be made based on actual user experiences.

  • Publication number: 20200045232
Abstract: Systems and methods of capturing imagery are provided. In particular, an imaging platform can be configured to capture imagery using a dual-axis steering mirror and one or more image capture devices. The line of sight angle of the imaging platform can be controlled by controlling the motion of the steering mirror in accordance with a motion profile. In example embodiments, the motion profile can correspond to a sawtooth wave. The imaging platform can further include one or more position sensors used to determine a position and/or orientation of the imaging platform along a path on which the imaging platform travels. The motion of the steering mirror can then be controlled to rotate about a first axis and a second axis to compensate for line of sight errors based at least in part on the determined position and/or orientation.

  • Publication number: 20200038739
Abstract: An automatic card shuffler to shuffle eight decks of cards (or less) and deal a round of Baccarat. The automatic shuffler comprises two pre-shuffle bins, each receiving approximately four decks of cards wherein the pre-shuffle bins are spaced apart from one another with card slides directing to a card-receiving area. Cards are randomly selected from the cards in each of the pre-shuffle bins and propelled onto the card slides directing the cards to the card-receiving area. Once a sufficient number of buffer cards (e.g., seven) have been deposited into the card-receiving area, a card flipper moves the seven cards against a face plate of an integral dealing shoe. A buffer-holder member maintains the buffer cards against the face plate for dealing as the card flipper returns to a home position to receive more shuffled cards while buffer cards are being dealt in a round of Baccarat.

  • Publication number: 20200041427
Abstract: A compact, low-cost system for the detection of counterfeit or sub-potency pharmaceuticals is implemented by use of a low power X-ray source, an incident collimator containing a series of concentric, non-parallel slits, receiving collimators containing a series of concentric, non-parallel slits, additional collimators to limit tangential divergence and a single, near room temperature energy dispersive detector that sums the plurality of diffracted x-ray beams. In this system, the tradeoff between spectral resolving power and the diffracted intensity is eliminated. • Publication number: 20200044990
Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for a sequence to sequence to classification model for generating recommended messages. A messaging system generates, using a sequence to sequence encoder, an embedding vector from a message being transmitted as part of a communication session, the sequence to sequence encoder having been trained based on historical message data that includes messages transmitted between users of the messaging system. The messaging system determines, based on the embedding vector, a set of candidate responses for replying to the first message, the set of candidate responses being a subset of a set of available responses. The messaging system selects, from the set of candidate responses, a set of recommended responses to the first message, and causes the set of recommended responses to be presented by a client device of a recipient user of the first message.
