  • Publication number: 20240195632
Abstract: A method for locating a mobile device which is not in possession of the owner using an owner verification server. A mobile network operator server sends a message to the owner verification server requesting verification of ownership. The owner verification server retrieves ownership status and transmits a request to the mobile network operator server to transmit location tracking data when the ownership status indicates that the device is not in the owner's possession. The owner verification server forwards the location tracking data to the device owner.

  • Publication number: 20240191008
Abstract: Provided is an amination method for a polystyrene-type resin, and a method for immobilizing an enzyme using an aminated polystyrene-type resin. The amination method includes: in a solvent, a catalyst is used to catalyze a polystyrene-type resin and an enamine salt to perform a Friedel-Crafts alkylation reaction, to obtain an aminated polystyrene-type resin, herein the catalyst is a Lewis acid catalyst. By means of the Friedel-Crafts alkylation reaction, the enamine salt is grafted onto the polystyrene-type resin, and the polystyrene-type resin is aminated. The conditions of the Friedel-Crafts alkylation reaction are easy to control, the post-treatment process is simple, and it is only necessary to remove the catalyst and the unreacted enamine salt by washing. Therefore, the above amination method in the present application has few steps and is simple and easy to implement. Meanwhile, the amination method further avoids the use of a noble metal catalyst, thereby reducing production cost.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes capturing, by a machine vision device, an image of an object in a railway environment. The machine vision device is attached to a first train car that is moving in a first direction along a first railroad track of the railway environment. The method also includes analyzing, by the machine vision device, the image of the object using one or more machine vision algorithms to determine a value associated with the object. The method further includes determining, by the machine vision device, that the value associated with the object indicates a potential deficiency of the object and communicating, by the machine vision device, an alert to a component external to the first train car. The alert comprises an indication of the potential deficiency of the object.

  • Publication number: 20240192214
Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated society's tremendous health equity gap. Disadvantaged populations have been disproportionally affected by COVID-19, lacking access to affordable testing, a known effective tool for preventing viral spread, hospitalizations, and deaths. Here, we describe COvid-19 Low-cost Optodiagnostic for Rapid testing (COLOR), a colorimetric biosensor fabricated on cotton swabs using gold nanoparticles modified with human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2), which costs 15 ¢ to produce and detects SARS-COV-2 within 5 minutes. COLOR detected very low viral particle loads (limit of detection: 0.154 pg mL?1 of SARS-COV-2 spike protein) and its color intensity correlated with the cycle threshold (Ct) values obtained using RT-PCR. The performance of COLOR was assessed using 100 nasopharyngeal/oropharyngeal (NP/OP) clinical samples, yielding sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy values of 96%, 84%, and 90%, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20240192320
Abstract: In various examples, detected object data representative of locations of detected objects in a field of view may be determined. One or more clusters of the detected objects may be generated based at least in part on the locations and features of the cluster may be determined for use as inputs to a machine learning model(s). A confidence score, computed by the machine learning model(s) based at least in part on the inputs, may be received, where the confidence score may be representative of a probability that the cluster corresponds to an object depicted at least partially in the field of view. Further examples provide approaches for determining ground truth data for training object detectors, such as for determining coverage values for ground truth objects using associated shapes, and for determining soft coverage values for ground truth objects.

  • Publication number: 20240191786
Abstract: A harmonic drive assembly and fluid-powered linear motors with both axial pistons are rotary piston arrangements incorporating the harmonic drive assembly are disclosed. The motors may be used in downhole drilling applications, but the drive assembly and/or motors may be used in other applications. The assembly, motors and methods use advanced harmonic drives, advanced helical drives, and combinations thereof with 1) motors with axial pistons and reciprocating linear rings to convert reciprocative axial motion to continuous rotary motion, and 2) motors with rotary pistons and reciprocating linear rings to rectify reciprocative rotary motion to continual rotary motion to improve performance over prior configurations. Axial pistons provide a robust simple solution for generating rotation; Rotational pistons provide increased torque generation as the torque generated is proportional to motor length. Since downhole drills are long, a high-torque motor can be produced using this method.

  • Publication number: 20240195507
Abstract: Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for an optical domain controller for managing and maintaining a record of network component configuration and interconnections. The optical domain controller detects changes in a configuration of optical network elements in response to a requested service from the network, coordinates additional changes in configurations to optical network elements that may be affected by the detected change, communicates with the optical network elements to incorporate the changes to the configurations of the network element, and stores the configurations and states of the network elements. The use of the optical domain controller may thus replace or supplement a database storing network configuration information by automatically managing changes to the network as new services are instantiated directly on the optical network elements.
