  • Patent number: 6656045
Abstract: A method and system (10) for storing preselected Bingo numbers which allows a player to play the same sets of Bingo numbers (56) in multiple sessions of Bingo. The player preselects Bingo numbers to play in multiple Bingo sessions. The numbers are stored in the memory (16) of the computer (12). The player selects which preselected Bingo numbers to play for a specific session of Bingo. A ticket is provided having the selected sets of Bingo numbers with a control number (58) for each selected set of numbers and a validation number (60) for the ticket.

  • Publication number: 20030003986
Abstract: A method and system (10) for managing a Bingo game while allowing a repeat player to easily play the same sets of numbers (56) in multiple sessions of Bingo. The system allows the hall to track the sale of Bingo tickets (52), easily verify the Bingo winners and keep track of repeat players. In the method of using the system, the player preselects numbers which he wishes to play in multiple Bingo sessions. The hall stores the numbers in the memory (16) of the computer (12). On the date of the Bingo game, the player chooses which preselected Bingo numbers to play. The player is provided with a ticket having the preselected numbers with a control number (58) for each set of numbers and a validation number (60) for the ticket. The player is also provided with a receipt indicating the number of preselected sets of numbers bought by the player and the validation number for the ticket. The Bingo game is then played with the called Bingo numbers being entered into the computer.

  • Patent number: 6079711
Abstract: A combination Bingo and Poker game is described. The game uses a game board (10) containing a matrix of Bingo places (16). The Bingo places each have a Bingo number (26) and playing card indicia (28). The game is played similarly to standard Bingo with the players marking the places on the game board as the numbers are selected by the host entity (12A). A player has a winning BINGO when the marked places form a winning Bingo configuration. The playing card indicia of the places of the winning Bingo configuration are then used to form a potentially winning Poker hand.

  • Patent number: 5557846
Abstract: A blank material for manufacturing fiber-reinforced coatings or metal components comprising fibers made of a high-strength material and metals or metal alloys, and a process for manufacturing the blank, and for manufacturing coatings and components made therefrom. The fibers are aligned in the blank in parallel to its axis, and metal wire meshes are knitted around them, with the fibers embedded at a distance from one another. By means of high-temperature isostatic pressing, metal components can be made, through which the reinforcing fibers extend at a uniform distance.

  • Patent number: 5470524
Abstract: A method is provided for manufacturing a bladed ring for drum-shaped rotors of turbomachinery, especially rotors for axial compressors of gas turbine engines. The bladed ring is to be manufactured by hot isostatic pressing (HIP) and the fiber rings are formed in a metallic powder material for the bladed ring arranged in a circumferential direction. The fiber rings are bonded with spacing therebetween. The fiber rings are reinforced by fibers embedded in a metal matrix. The bladed ring prefabricated in this fashion by HIP is machined down to its required dimensions.

  • Patent number: 5400505
Abstract: In a method of manufacturing fiber-reinforced engine components having a metal matrix, a long or even continuous silicon carbide fiber is first coated with a matrix metal of a titanium-based alloy by atomizing or sputtering. Then, the fibers coated with matrix material are wound onto a mold in the direction of the anticipated stresses. A covering of foils, bands, wires, pressed-on granulates, sintered-on powders or a top coating of matrix metal is then applied onto the surface of the fibers wound onto the mold. Finally the mold with the wound-on, matrix-material coated fibers and the covering of matrix metal is subjected to hot isostatic pressing. This method is used to manufacture engine shafts, shroud bands for turbine wheels or disk-less turbine wheels having retaining rings holding the blades.

  • Patent number: 5355946
Abstract: A matrix of heat exchange tubes in a heat exchanger in which a first fluid flows in the heat exchange tubes and undergoes heat exchange with a second fluid flowing externally on the heat exchange tubes. The tubes have a teardrop shape and are arranged in the matrix in parallel relation in rows in which each tube has a rounded surface at one end and a tapered narrow surface at the other end. The tubes in each row all face in the same direction and the tubes in alternate rows face in opposite directions. The tubes have alternate unequal spacing of distances a.sub.1 and a.sub.2 in successive rows. The tubes can be bent to form a U-shape matrix or a semi-circular matrix. The tubes are each manufactured by filling the space between an inner channel and an outer shell of the tube with a ceramic or metal.

  • Patent number: 5318110
Abstract: Spacer supports are connected to a matrix of heat exchange tubes of a heat exchanger to maintain the heat exchange tubes in spaced relation and resist overheating by hot fluid flowing around the tubes and the spacer supports. The spacer supports are in the form of hollow tubular bodies in which the heat exchange tubes are supported in spaced relation. The heat exchange tubes communicate with the interior of the hollow bodies so that flow of a heatable fluid in the heat exchange tubes is conveyed through the hollow body to wet the interior thereof and cool the same.
