  • Publication number: 20030142083
Abstract: A driver circuit of an LCDM is disclosed. The driver circuit contains a driving unit and a transformer unit. When the LCDM needs to drive a plurality of inverters, the driving unit sends out a driving voltage in an asynchronous way to drive the transformer unit. The transformer unit amplifies the driving voltage and sends it to the lamps. The invention thus achieves the goal of driving the LCDM using different timings within a work period.

  • Publication number: 20030009704
Abstract: This specification discloses a frequency division type protection device for portable information processing systems. It is composed of a control unit, a piezoelectric unit, a frequency division unit and a display unit. When a portable information processing system experience an unusual voltage, the frequency division unit produces and sends a frequency division voltage to the control to provide its work voltage. The piezoelectric unit temporarily stops its job and the display unit shows the current status of the protection device. The invention can thus protect the portable information system and the data stored therein.

  • Publication number: 20020195998
Abstract: A rechargeable-battery protection circuit with alarm unit is proposed, which is designed for use with an electronic system with a rechargeable battery unit, such as a notebook computer with a lithium-type of rechargeable battery unit, for protecting the rechargeable battery unit against over voltage/current. The proposed rechargeable-battery protection circuit is characterized by the provision of an alarm unit which is capable of generating a human-perceivable alarm, such as an audible sound alarm, to alert the user to take necessary manual actions to protect the rechargeable battery unit against the over voltage/current when the built-in protective operation fails to work properly. This allows the rechargeable battery unit to be more reliably protected than the prior art.

  • Patent number: 6407511
Abstract: An electronic ballast suitable for lighting control for a fluorescent lamp which includes a bridge rectifier for rectifying input commercial power supply voltage and a high frequency oscillator for feeding the fluorescent lamp a high frequency supply voltage, wherein the electronic ballast further comprises a linear active switching mode filter circuit for filtering the output of bridge rectifier by a linear active switching mode and feeding a supply voltage to the high frequency oscillator. With such configuration, the electronic ballast can be combined with a conventional thyristor lighting controller.

  • Patent number: 6255785
Abstract: A high power factor electronic ballast for fluorescent lamps having low lamp current peak ratio and which includes a bridge rectifier for rectifying a commercial power supply voltage, a high frequency oscillator using an output voltage from a bridge rectifier as its supply voltage, a first supplementary power source to supply the high frequency oscillator a voltage by superimposing two supplementary voltages generated from a portion of high frequency current in a load on the output voltage from the bridge rectifier, and a second supplementary power source to supply the high frequency oscillator a direct offset voltage generated from a portion of high frequency current in the load to improve the input current waveform of the bridge rectifier.

  • Patent number: 5921660
Abstract: An electric bulb for identification lamp comprising a bulb head, a bulb body, a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) setting over the peripheral surface surrounding said bulb body, and a power supply unit to feed said LEDs, wherein, said power supply unit is set within said bulb body, and said bulb further comprises a connector with one end fixed connected to said bulb head, while another end rotably connected to said bulb body by apply a proper torque. Therefore, the advantages of such bulb are low power consumption and long lift-time, as well as light distribution well with emitting direction adjustable by rotating its body to show a noticeable identification with soft light to the viewers from both side. It also applicable for any lamps where the adjustment of light emitting direction is required.
