  • Publication number: 20240094055
Abstract: Embodiments herein describe spectroscopy systems that use an unmodulated reference optical signal to mitigate noise, or for other advantages. In one embodiment, the unmodulated reference optical signal is transmitted through the same vapor cell as a modulated pump optical signal. As such, the unmodulated reference optical signal experiences absorption by the vapor, which converts laser phase noise to amplitude noise like the other optical signals passing through the vapor cell. In one embodiment, the unmodulated reference optical signal has an optical path in the gas cell that is offset (or non-crossing) from the optical path of the modulated pump optical signal. The unmodulated reference optical signal allows removal or mitigation of the noise on the other optical signal.

  • Publication number: 20240096485
Abstract: A planning system is provided for planning breast feeding or milk expression. An input receives first milk flow information from breast Schedule pumping sessions and second milk flow information from breast feeding sessions. The first and second milk flow information are processed to derive a input schedule, wherein the schedule specifies a combination of future breast pumping and breast feeding sessions. In this way, the system assists a mother in planning her milk production routine to best fit with her schedule as well as providing the best nutrition for the infant.

  • Publication number: 20240094425
Abstract: A detector for detecting optically undetectable sub-cm orbital debris. A ring detector comprising a current pulse transformer (CPT) in which a conducting wire coil is wrapped around a loop of high permeability material having a magnetic nanoparticle (MNP) core. Debris objects in low earth orbit become charged as they pass through local plasma. As each charged debris object passes through the coil-wrapped loop, its current generates an induced voltage pulse, which can be used to detect the presence of the debris object. By fielding such a detector on a satellite, a long duration survey of the debris distribution in the LEO region can be made as the satellite's altitude is systematically varied.

Abstract: Methods for banking at an automated teller machine (ATM) using a mobile device. The ATM may automatically detect the presence of the mobile device in a vicinity of the ATM and initiate contact with the mobile device, or a mobile device may initiate contact with the ATM. After verifying user permission to access the ATM, the mobile device may be enabled to provide user access to one or more of the banking services available at the ATM using the mobile device and to view banking-related information on the mobile device. A mobile application on the mobile device may be used to access the ATM using the mobile device. While a mobile device is accessing the ATM, a screen on the ATM may become inactive for banking services and the option to select banking services directly at the ATM may be disabled.
